just visited the GP surgery and whispered “i have mental health” to the receptionist, she winked and took me out back to a secret car dealership and allowed me to choose a free £52,000 BMW, any colour of my choice, drove it away then and there. i don’t even have a driving licence
@georgefraser91 @TeacherBusy OP is referring to the fact the behaviour can be relatively subtle (or go unnoticed by colleagues) in real life situations. It was obvious as a viewer, hopefully to most people, and yet look at the amount of men in the replies here not seeing it at all 🤷♀️
I’m still thinking about #Adolescence this morning. Ep 3 was so impactful but no-one’s talking about the guard who kept following Briony around, bothering her, whilst she’s trying to do her job. Another example of intimidating male behaviour that is so subtle it gets ignored.
Pancake Day tomorrow. It’s when the “erm, hello, spoiler alert: you’re an adult, you can have pancakes any day of the year!?!” people come out of the woodwork.
I do not want pancakes any other day of the year. I want them only on Pancake Day, like a proper British person. And I want to have so many pancakes on Pancake Day that it puts me off having pancakes again for an entire year. Thank you.
I am paraphrasing. "The best part for me was when Zelensky said : “Mr. Trump, you are increasing the volume of your voice, but not the logic of your argument."
He was the worst President in history. And when he got voted out, he tried to stage a coup. Then he stole national secrets and sold the ones he didn't store in the bathroom.
He was convicted of fraud, found liable of sexual assault and convicted of 34 felonies. He is half a billion dollars in debt, owned by God only knows who, and the biggest national security risk the nation has ever had.
But at least he's not a Black woman.
Things have just got a lot more difficult . Here’s what I think . I had no control over what just happened . None . But I do have control over how I will react to it . And I am not going to give up on the beautiful and the good , the grip on my dreams just got tighter .
We should invent the opposite of Ozempic -- a drug that mutes satiety signaling -- so we can administer it for a few years to lean folks who still think the only difference between themselves and an obese person is a modicum of willpower.
@SRuc1974 So... coercion should only be prosecuted when it's so bad the victim is permanently paralysed with fear to the point it would be impossible for them to ever get out. And anything else is fair game? Cool.
