@SamsungUK could someone explain how it can be 10 days since our washing machine stopped working (whilst under warranty) and you're still waiting for the report? Meanwhile we're having to hand wash our clothes. Talk about poor customer service!
@BarneyUoB@drzaf_pic Barney, you've been one of the most inspiring examples of a doctor I've been lucky enough to meet. A huge thank you for all the humour, charm and knowledge that have been your trademark since I started at BWC. You'll be missed hugely . Jxx
@bbclaurak@patcullen9 Hi Laura. I've been a qualified nurse now since 1989 and can't believe the state of the NHS now.I went into nursing to care for people and their families, which seems to be the last thing nurses have time to do. I really look forward to your programme tomorrow - especially Pat

@AnNHSManager@ShaunLintern@RobertsonBert @Amreen51239056 "Those off shift strike." Seriously? Why be so rude to someone asking a genuine and completely reasonable question, when your answer doesn't even make sense? Only people rostered to work and withdrawing their labour actually strike. Others not rostered to work then, support it.
@Pauline05835184@LancsHospCITeam Seriously?? When people should be sleeping, you think it's a good idea to wake them up, hurry them to get ready and stress staff and patients out so that you can create a bed for an admission?? I thought nursing was caring for people not managers.....
🚨"We are stretched beyond our current capacity"
@SWBHnhs declares critical incident due to "immense pressure". An extra two patients are being added to wards where there might be possible discharges - this means ward nurses being stretched further:
I also invited politicians to spend a shift with a paramedic in a car park, nurse 3-4 times more patients than is safe in an ED corridor, or stand with us as we make those dreaded waiting room announcements to our worried patients. Prepare for the rush. https://t.co/AZ3rqmcrP8
🚨 Exclusive: Hospitals across the country are reporting shortages of portable oxygen cylinders as the sheer number of patients in "grossly overcrowded" A&Es has soared:

The NHS enters 2023 in its most precarious state ever. Some more fiddling with targets and pathways will not prevent patient harm or staff disillusionment. We need a complete new paradigm of healthcare, if the NHS is ever going to be the envy of the world again. @RCollEM
Harrowing words from a senior emergency medicine doctor showing the despair at not being able to provide the level of care every doctor hopes to for their patients. Every doctor, nurse & HCW can empathise with this right now.
Shared w/ permission. Pls RT to get this out there.
I had to ask for an exit interview when I left medicine.
I wanted a regional senior leader to hear what I had to say.
A fellow trainee was sent to do it, as though I wasn't important enough for more.
