Good morning! Black coffee is indeed a clear liquid and can be consumed (without milk, cream, sugar) safely up to 2 hrs before surgery. Do not deprive your patients of their morning coffee.
Large fungating left arm Sarcoma resected with part of the humerus. Brachial artery injury required patch repair of the vessel. Lots of work but worth it if we can save this 59 yo man’s arm!

Great discussion @AmerSurg of our PSM analysis of TCAR vs. CEA three-years outcomes showing no difference in stroke rate and slight decrease in three-years survival in Sx patients. TCAR patients are older with significantly higher baseline morbidities
