Goodman, Mississippi, currently has no police officers after the entire department resigned when Mayor Michael Howard took office.

A viral video shows a group gathered outside the police department, knocking on doors with no response, standing on a marked police vehicle, and at least one person appearing to hold a firearm.

With only about 90 homes and only 14 paying taxes, the town is in a financial crisis.

The financial strain and lack of audits dates back to 2015–2016.

Officials say they are working to hire at least one officer if the budget allows.
