I am so much more productive at home. On the days I do travel on site, I achieve way less.
The chit chat is however often really beneficial.
It's probably more about the balance
When I go into an office what strikes me is the huge amount of time wasted chatting, catching up, complaining etc compared with the head down get the job done attitude at home. If the price is a refreshing catnap who cares if the work is done?
