IndiGo to increase its dominance from Nashik.

With effect from October 29, the airline will connect the Maharashtrian city to Delhi and Bengaluru.

Bookings expected to start from October 1.

After SpiceJet shut down operations, IndiGo is the only airline operating from Nashik.

Akasa Air CEO Vinay Dube said :

🟠The airline is well capitalised to place a 3 digit order by the end of this year.

🟠"We have exceeded our expectations."

🟠20th aircraft will be inducted in this month, which will allow the airline to start international operations.

Karnataka Infra Minister MB Patil said that operations from Shivamogga Airport will start from August 11.

All pending work will be completed by July 20

The airport was inaugurated on February 27.

Additional 12 crore will be needed to have night landing facility at the airport.

Both GMR owned and operated airports - Delhi (T3) and Hyderabad now have Self-Baggage Drop facility.

This will allow passengers to check in their baggage without aid from an airport staff.

The facility has been introduced to streamline the baggage drop off process.
