The standoff at the Texas border sure does makes Americans feel good, but I can't help but to be nagged by this question:

Why did Governor Abbott spend 3 years dicking around, sending fucking invaders further into the country on taxpayer funded bus trips to only exacerbate the fallout from the crisis at the border before suddenly growing the balls to stand up to the Federal Government?

People will get mad when we ask these questions because we always want the good news, the easy solution, but I genuinely don't think any of those things exist at this point.

Americans will be dealing with the ramifications of this for years to come regardless.
