Nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts โ and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change. https://t.co/tuR2gaZns7
@OPJ444@MrFlashHQ@Nigel_Farage 2/ Sadly for Henry, his chest wound was fatal and no first aid would have prevented his death. Police would not have known that though, and should have treated him with dignity and due care as a matter of course. The IOPC will seek to understand why that did not happen.
@OPJ444@MrFlashHQ@Nigel_Farage 1/ Starmer does not manage the police service. They manage themselves. The failure to identify medical emergency has been happening for decades! 1228 people have died after arrest in custody since 1990. Did you even know that?
@InTheTrenchesUK You don't speak for Britain either. Most of the people kicking off at police there, were not from Southampton. Tommy's boot boys, the same hooligans that have turned out and kicked off for years. Well known faces, along with the army of youtubers that follow them everywhere.
@zarahussain999 Because for those that turned up, it was never about Henry's treatment at the hands of Police. The core aim of these far right activists (Nick Teconi/ Paul Golding etc) is establishing an ethno nationalist white christian patriarchy. The old school BNP style far right in fact.
@Phuseboy@MrFlashHQ@Nigel_Farage Who says it does? Both things can be true. They failed Henry, but realised quickly Digwa was lying to them and arrested him.
@Buddy_fox13@Nigel_Farage@AllisonPearson We do agree. There are no winners in this. Not for Henry and his family. Not for the Sihk community. Not for the officers that are likely horrified at their own mistakes (one policewoman has already resigned). Let's hope the right changes are made.
@day156324@reece_dinsdale Probably Starmer's finest moment in a while. Farage then doubled down in another excruciating video, trying to explain himself.
@reece_dinsdale And having had his ass handed to him by Starmer, he went an made another video for his 'public address' channel, to double down. Personally, I think this may start to be the end of Farage.
@Buddy_fox13@Nigel_Farage@AllisonPearson I'm not saying that. Read response 2/. If someone is dying, you show them dignity. They didn't even try to establish if he was injured, and 'that' is what the IOPC has to get to the bottom of.
@Buddy_fox13@Nigel_Farage@AllisonPearson 2/ But I entirely agree with you that officers neglected their duty of care. And yes, that not only comes down to training, but it also comes down to attitude. Making assumptions, instead of treating each incident in it's own right as a potential emergency. They failed there too.
@NeilYoung16570@danceforthesky@BladeoftheS 2/ Henry's alcohol level was below the drink/drive limit, so he wasn't very drunk, but given that officers spend most weekends dealing with drunken assaults, they may have thought that was what they were attending. Mistaking Henry's inability to stand, for being drunk. We'll see.
@NeilYoung16570@danceforthesky@BladeoftheS Why don't you read the sentencing remarks? They give all the details of the available evidence for the trial. Some things are unknown, like, why was Henry filming Digwa on his phone, asking if he was a 'bad man'. How and why did that start? Digwa's response was horrific in turn.
@danceforthesky@NeilYoung16570@BladeoftheS I read the sentencing remarks too. Henry was videoing Digwa, and asks if he is a 'bad man'. That video was on his phone, but no details on what happens before, and no evidence of racism either. Some kind of banter happened, and Digwa snatched his phone and responded with murder.
