Letters and Parcels are fun! Worked in the postal system somewhere all my life. Ex (ish) Post Office And Royal Mail, Now to help and offer some advice :)
@NowLookEreSon Been the same for donkeys. Royal Mail, Parcelforce, Evri, DPD, all set the prices for the Post Office. Branches have complained about this for longer than I can remember. Blame the parcel companies.
@WallaceUofE@premnsikka Never had to handle that side of the business so I wouldn’t know about that. Anything about PO/RM products I can help with 😎
But I would get POL to check about that button for sure and/or a signage change if its to do with the alarm and not a doorbell.
@WallaceUofE@premnsikka I would get POL to check that’s 100% a door bell and not to do with the alarm. The branches I have been in over the years have these buttons for the alarm. The sign is misleading for sure and should be changed if that’s not a doorbell. Electric doors can be expensive I’m told.
Current Post Office director (and serving Subpostmaster) Saf Ismail giving evidence to the Post Office Inquiry - alleging complete executive dysfunction at every observable level. Well worth a watch: https://t.co/qzHOq5YGz2

@WallaceUofE@premnsikka Sorry to jump on this. Apologies if I’m missing the point of the post but that button is to do with the alarm system for the PO and not a doorbell etc Will find most PO’s have them. Apologies again if this wasn’t the point.
Please remember when you use your local Post Office, it isn’t the person behind the counters fault, it’s the higher ups, the branches need your support more then ever. They are paid pennies on commission per transaction. They are a small business . #PostOfficeScandal#PostOffice
@Jule9 Correct, new forms are coming down the line. For now we have to use the cn22 (without the barcode) as the ones with the barcode are obsolete, still to be filled out the same. Since Brexit it’s all been a bit of a mess international postage wise! I hope you get no more issues 🙏
@redmistukcom FYI. The Post Office don’t deliver parcels…. Royal Mail does. Two separate companies. Just work closely together, same as PO work with Evri, DPD and Amazon. Hope that helps :)
