3/5 But outside the hospital, there’s no empathy. No patience. Not even basic kindness.
We heal people all day… yet walk out feeling invisible.
Some days, it really hurts to be a doctor.
2/5: As a first-year resident, I don’t have “free hours.” & can never be free during government 9-5 working hours. I give extra time, extra energy, extra care! Every single day, even when I’m running on empty.
What happened ?
On 12 March 2026 around midnight, our batchmate, a PGY-1 General Surgery resident, attempted suicide and is currently admitted in the ICU fighting for her life.
She had reportedly been facing repeated public humiliation, body-shaming, and alleged workplace bullying over a prolonged period.
She had cellulitis and had reportedly been working continuously in the ward without sleep for nearly 3 days. Several incidents in recent days appear to have worsened her mental distress:
• During an orientation session, she was told in front of her co-JRs that she needed a psychiatric evaluation.
• In the elective OT, she was publicly shouted at by a senior for being 1–2 minutes late in bringing micropore (a task usually handled by OT staff). She reportedly had a panic attack in the OT and was asked to leave surgery.
Despite repeatedly expressing that she wanted to leave the department due to the extreme stress and toxic work environment, her concerns were allegedly not addressed.
She is a gold medalist in General Surgery during her MBBS exams.
We urge the authorities to conduct a fair and transparent investigation and take strict action if any wrongdoing or harassment is found.
Resident doctors deserve dignity, safe working conditions, and humane treatment.

Choosing medicine was the worst decision of my life, and I literally pay the price everyday, I have no passion for this soulless joyless field left in me, yet I keep clinging to one wrong decision made years ago on my behalf because I don’t know what else to do
Why do patients keep blaming doctors for corporate hospital, i am not fixing the price of medicines, investigations, ventilators.
If tomorrow i get admitted, i am also paying the same price
10 years back didi thought that she'll become a doctor and treat patient for free, she'll be settled with her own house in some island 🏝️!
But see didi is still studying!
DIDI IS ME 😭

My personal good experience with homeopathy.
During covid i was down with fever for a week. Dolo and other regular allopathic meds made sure i got out of it safely but like many covid cases i also lost my sense of taste.
I made rice-kheer to celebrate my recovery. At the last moment i realised we are out of sugar to add to the kheer. Since it was strict lockdown, no grocery shops around our house were open.
I remembered there was a homeopathy clinic down the lane. I went there and bought 500 grams sugar pills. Added them to the kheer and tasted something sweet after a month’s gap.
Don’t believe the haters. Homeopathy works.
10days ago at 8.48 am I got a call from my sister while I was sitting in OT and patient was being shifted to OT table. 1st call and I could here only she in calling my name and disconnected. Normally I don't pick calls in morning when inside OT but that day I picked.
Didn't feel the plight of people struggling mentally till I cried today after feeling yourself, presence of you, after months of constant subtle anxiety, panic, confusion, depression, PTSD. Idk being able to laugh on jokes wholeheartedly brought tears! Mahadev! Hope this stays🙏
