This morning, I was deeply touched by the generosity of Shri @sajjanjindal of @jswsteel, who quietly and without any intimation transferred ₹5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support those affected by the devastating floods.

We came to know of this noble gesture only when our team was reviewing the Fund’s bank statements earlier today. There was no announcement, no communication, just a silent act of compassion.

It is also a matter of pride for Assam that his respected mother, Smt Savitri Jindal ji, Chairperson Emeritus of the OP Jindal Group, hails from our State.

While it’s important to support our students and ask for educational reforms that positively impact the future of our youth, it’s also very important that peaceful protests by students are Not hijacked by anti national elements to create chaos & change the nature of the protest.

Seeing so much hate & divide online makes me wonder if bad elements in & outside our country have already started to work overtime to weaponise the anger & frustration felt by our students.

I have always believed in hard work, equality and excellence & that should never be compromised. IF the Delhi Police decides to scan the footage for so called 'students' who were hitting the policemen and indulging in property destruction and stone pelting, and press charges, you will spend many years running around polic stations and courts.
