The problem is ..
Most of the followers who say as below, choose what to follow. Rather follow what is suitable to them.. Same periyava have said things about Vaidhavya, Balya Vivaha and foreign trips.. those are well .. conveniently ignored ...
I don't follow him.
The Matham we follow is Kanchi Matham and Periyava has adviced all to chant VS which I follow. Also in this video puri Shankaracharya talks mostly about LS so we don't know what was the topic all about. Cannot assume anything which is said here without the complete knowledge
@sreesub@AdhirSinha He suffered from Type 1 diabetes which is genetic and not due to lifestyle . With insulin not available it was difficult for anyone to survive Type 1 diabetes that time ..
Covering up Syphillis scars was also the primary reason for the rising popularity of high collars and ruffs in British fashion. Wigs would cover up the signs of baldness and head sores - the 2nd stage of syphilis on one's head while powder would cover the rash on one's face and high collars or ruff would cover the signs on one's neck. (Like Elizabethan collars)
Even more crazy - for 400 years the British thought mercury could treat syphilis. From the 16th c. to early 20th c., mercury was the primary medical treatment for syphillis across Britain. The practice even created a famous British public health warning: "A night with Venus, a lifetime with Mercury" about how a brief sexual encounter would mean years of toxic treatment.
British doctors gave patients blue mass pills, “grey ointments”, vapor Baths to inhale toxic mercury fumes and even liquid mercury solutions injected directly into muscles (Urethral syringes with traces of mercury were found in the remains of Blackbeard’s ship) 😳
The mercury would trigger heavy salivation, sweating, and vomiting, and the doctors thought these violent reactions were signs of the body purging out the “syphilitic poisons”.
Of course in reality, this was nothing else but the symptoms of severe mercury poisoning.
The "cure" was so horrible that it proved worse than the disease itself. Patients had terrifying side effects like loose teeth, rotting jawbones, huge severe mouth ulcers, tremors, blindness, and insanity, besides kidney and organ failure leading to death
Mercury was phased out in Britain after 1910.

If you're proposing chicken in the noon meal scheme, could you please explain how it will be rolled out? How will hygiene, food safety, and halal compliance for Muslim students be ensured across the state?
Imagine you get All India Rank 1 in the IIT-JEE.
Then you do something even crazier - You turn down Computer Science. Instead, you pick a five-year MSc in Physics at @IITKanpur
That was Rajesh Gopakumar, AIR 1 in JEE 1987.
He went to @Princeton for his PhD, under a man who'd later win the Nobel. He co-created what physicists now call the Gopakumar-Vafa invariants, a piece of math sitting inside string theory.
In 2001, he came home to build a theoretical physics institute in Bengaluru, which he runs today.
