I didnt have a smartphone, but had anxiety, depression and attention issues in my teenage years, LOL. Barely had dialup internet at age 17.
Read like 60 books as a teenager, but was always stressed about not having access to good, up to date information. Novels seem like pure fantasy and science/school books from 60s 70s seemed useless.

Whatever the kids have, its better if they learn to use them early, IMO, especially if they are intelligent.
Not having a gun... I mean a cell phone at 16 is very extreme.
The guy probably doesnt trust his daughter or havent taught her well. 👎 @grok what do you say about not giving kids phones until 16, 18, 20?
