What much of Western Europe refuses to confront is this: in the very center of the Middle East, there exists a society that is culturally modern, politically conscious, and far more aligned with democratic values than the narratives allow yet it doesn’t fit the stereotypes they’ve grown comfortable with.
Iranians are not paying for backwardness, but for the opposite for daring to be modern where the world expects them not to be.

President Trump,
With respect, attacking civilian infrastructure will not destroy the regime. It may save it.
This regime has already done deep damage to the Persian people and to Persian civilisation. Many Iranians know that. Many have suffered under it.
But if outside forces destroy the essentials of civilian life, the regime will use that pain to rally people around itself. It will say it is defending the nation, when in truth it has long been helping destroy it.
Please do not hand them that victory.
If the goal is a better Iran, protect its people. Protect its infrastructure. Help Iranians shape their own future. Help this region rise again into one of the most prosperous in the world, as it once was.
You are a builder. Make this your greatest legacy.

Conclusion to the video below that went viral yesterday. People are beginning to understand what is actually happening.
While information from inside Iran is restricted to only regime supporters & affiliates holding white SIM cards to by-pass the digital blackout (now entering its 31st day) hard not to blame people taken in by the ocean of regime narratives and propaganda picked up by western media outlets that currently dominate the airwaves.
Like Niaz Abadani here, it’s imperative to keep educating people about what’s happening, and has been happening in Iran the last 47 years, and how this regime represents a real danger to the rest of the world.

Trita Parsi (@tparsi), founder of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), has long been accused by critics of acting as part of the “Iran Lobby” in Washington, D.C., pushing narratives aligned with the Islamic Republic.
If someone is lobbying for a terrorist regime responsible for killing protesters and sponsoring terror against U.S. citizens across the region, they should not be operating freely in the United States.
Investigate. Expose. And if laws are violated, deport.

Dear @elonmusk 90 million people in Iran are offline.
No internet. No calls. No connection to the world.
Please help Iranians reconnect and be heard.
#DigitalBlackOutIran
In the past few hours, this is the only message I’ve received from Iran. The sender wrote:
“Our connection to the outside world has been completely cut off. Everyone has been warned that anyone who connects to the open internet will be arrested. When the internet is cut, people start losing hope because we have no idea what’s happening outside.
Please be our voice and tell the world that we’ve been taken hostage by them.”
Right now the Islamic Republic has imposed one of the most severe internet shutdowns on 90 million people in Iran. Their lives are at risk.
If you truly care about the people of Iran, amplify their call. Be their voice, not someone speaking in their place

The near-total internet blackout in Iran entered its 17th day on Monday as it passed 384 hours, according to NetBlocks, a web monitoring organization.

Dear @elonmusk , the Islamic Republic has shut down the internet for 90 million people in Iran.
It’s only open for regime accounts spreading propaganda and lies. Please help Iranians reconnect to the world.
#RezaPahlaviForIran#DigitalBlackOutIran
For 17 days, 90 million people in Iran have been cut off from the free internet in the middle of a war. Families can’t reach each other and people can’t access reliable information.
We’ve seen this pattern before: when the regime shuts down the internet, something terrible follows.
If you truly care about Iranian lives, speak about the internet blackout in Iran. Their safety depends on it.
