रविवार, 8 मार्च लखनऊ- गोसाईगंज विकासखंड के हुसैनाबाद दुल्हापुर ग्राम पंचायत में जल महोत्सव अभियान की शुरुआत हुयी। मुख्य अतिथि श्री अमरेश कुमार जी, विधायक मोहनलालगंज की अध्यक्षता में जल अर्पण कार्यक्रम के अवसर पर श्री प्रभास कुमार, अधिशासी निदेशक राज्य पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता मिशन, डॉ राजशेखर एम० डी० जल निगम (ग्रामीण), जल जीवन मिशन के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों, जन प्रतिनिधियों के साथ ही भारी संख्या में ग्रामीण उपस्थित रहे। इसमें जल अर्पण परंपरा के अंतर्गत जल शपथ, जल अर्पण, प्रमाण पत्र वितरण आदि गतिविधियों में सभी अतिथियों ने उत्साह से भाग लिया। इसके बाद गांव की जलापूर्ति व्यवस्था की जिम्मेदारी और इसका स्वामित्व, ग्राम पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता समिति के सदस्यों को सौंप दिया गया।

9 मार्च 2026 सोमवार, आज जल निगम (ग्रामीण) मुख्यालय में, जल जीवन मिशन में महिलाओं के नेतृत्व का उत्सव:जल सहेलियों के साथ संवाद का आयोजन किया गया। डॉ राजशेखर, प्रबंध निदेशक, जल निगम (ग्रामीण) की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम में श्री प्रभास कुमार, अधिशासी निदेशक राज्य पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता मिशन, जल जीवन मिशन के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के साथ ही बुंदेलखंड क्षेत्र से आयी जल सहेलियों ने प्रतिभाग किया। इन जल सहेलियों को उनके योगदान के लिए प्रमाण पत्र भी प्रदान किए गए।

At the #SujlamBharatSummit2025 organized by Namami Gange, Shri Prabhash Kumar, IAS, Project Director, SMCG Uttar Pradesh, presented the state’s pioneering efforts in river rejuvenation and water resource management.

Highlighting the rejuvenation of 75 small rivers under MGNREGA with the support of premier technical institutions, the presentation showcased success stories of #Gomti, #Neem, #Sot, and #Noon rivers, where community participation and innovative interventions revived once-dying waterways.

The address also emphasized Uttar Pradesh’s leadership in policy coherence, catchment and floodplain protection, science-based afforestation, and wetland restoration, with remarkable outcomes including improved Ganga river health and a significant rise in Gangetic Dolphin population.

With initiatives like floodplain zoning, targeted afforestation, and community-driven conservation, Uttar Pradesh is positioning itself as a living laboratory for ecological governance, setting a national benchmark for water security, climate resilience, and sustainable growth.

Proud Moment!
State Mission for Clean Ganga (SMCG), Uttar Pradesh, under the Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, has been conferred the Platinum SKOCH Award. The award ceremony was held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, on 20th September 2025.

This recognition underscores the sustained efforts of SMCG-UP in pollution abatement through Interception, Diversion and STP projects; adopting people-centric approaches involving local communities to promote appropriate social behaviour; fostering local stewardship; and driving integrated interventions under the Namami Gange programme for the River Ganga and its tributaries. These efforts ensured that the prescribed water quality standards for outdoor bathing were maintained during Mahakumbh 2025.

This remarkable achievement has been possible due to the visionary leadership and constant guidance of the Additional Chief Secretary, Namami Gange, Sri Anurag Srivastava, the dedicated stewardship of the Managing Director, Dr Raj Sekhar UP Jal Nigam Rural, and the tireless commitment of the SMCG-UP team. Their collective leadership and teamwork have been instrumental in upholding the sanctity of our rivers and setting a benchmark in river rejuvenation and water quality management. SMCG-UP commends all the support extended to it by various departments in this journey to make River Ganga Aviral and Nirmal.

गंगा संरक्षण के संकल्प को और सशक्त बनाती जिला परियोजना अधिकारी कार्यशाला!

राज्य स्वच्छ गंगा मिशन, उत्तर प्रदेश (SMCG-UP) ने फेयरफील्ड बाय मैरियट, लखनऊ में तीन दिवसीय जिला परियोजना अधिकारी (DPO) कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया। कार्यशाला का उद्देश्य गंगा संरक्षण, जिला गंगा समितियों की भूमिका को सशक्त बनाना और आगामी योजनाओं की समीक्षा करना था।

परियोजना निदेशक डॉ. राज शेखर ने उद्घाटन करते हुए महाकुंभ-2025 की सफलता पर अधिकारियों को बधाई दी और गंगा की स्वच्छता व पुनर्जीवन के लिए निरंतर प्रयासों की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया।

दूसरे दिन, वित्तीय, तकनीकी और प्रशासनिक विषयों पर प्रशिक्षण दिया गया।
🔹 वित्त विभाग ने बजट प्रक्रिया पर जानकारी साझा की।
🔹 श्री मिथलेश कुमार मिश्रा ने नॉलेज मैनेजमेंट की बारीकियों पर चर्चा की।
🔹 प्रो. वेंकटेश दत्ता ने छोटी नदियों के पुनर्जीवन की आवश्यकता पर प्रकाश डाला।

तीसरे दिन, राष्ट्रीय स्वच्छ गंगा मिशन (NMCG) के कम्युनिकेशन हेड श्री नजीब अहसान ने संचार रणनीति और जनभागीदारी पर जोर दिया। @WWFINDIA के मोहम्मद आलम ने रिवर हेल्थ असेसमेंट पर जानकारी दी, जबकि श्री राजेश बाजपेई ने प्राकृतिक खेती के महत्व को समझाया।

समापन सत्र में अधिकारियों ने गंगा स्वच्छता और पुनर्जीवन के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता जताई। डॉ. राज शेखर ने सभी के प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए जिला गंगा समितियों को और अधिक सक्रिय बनाने का आह्वान किया।

As a core member of the UP Reuse of Treated Water Initiative Group, CSE is actively advocating for policy development and implementation planning for wastewater reuse in Uttar Pradesh.
