The successful effort to bring back our sacred heritage plates of the Chola era to India reflects his unwavering commitment to our civilisational roots.

The Nagai (Leiden) Copper Plates are among the most important surviving records of the Chola era, preserving a rare royal charter on 21 copper plates with the seal of Rajendra Chola I.

They record both Tamil and Sanskrit text, offering invaluable evidence of Chola ancestry, administration, and dynastic memory. They also reveal the Cholas’ maritime connections with Sriwijaya and the wider Indian Ocean world, including support for a Buddhist institution at Nagapattinam.

For Tamil Nadu, this is deeply emotional. These are not mere artifacts, but symbols of our rich Tamil culture, history, and spiritual legacy.

மக்கள் அளித்துள்ள தீர்ப்பை மதித்து நாங்கள் செயல்படுகிறோம். மக்கள் ஆதரவு பெற்ற த.வெ.க. அரசுக்கு ஆதரவு அளிப்பது என்ற அரசியல் அறத்தோடு கழகத்தின் ஆதரவை பெரும்பான்மை சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் வழங்கியுள்ளோமே தவிர, யாரையும் அவமரியாதை செய்யும் எண்ணமோ, கழகத்தை பிரிக்கும் எண்ணமோ எங்கள் யாருக்கும் இல்லை.

Why is TANGEDCO, a state-run corporation, filing an appeal in the Honourable Supreme Court against the direction of Honourable Madras High Court to hand over all the relevant files related to the ₹397 Crore Transformer Scam to CBI? Even if the appeal was filed by the previous government, was the new TVK Government in Tamil Nadu informed of this?

I urge the new TVK Government to immediately intervene and withdraw the appeals filed by a state government-run corporation to subvert the CBI probe.

If the TVK Government is truly committed to its anti-corruption promise, it must also restore the general consent for CBI investigations in Tamil Nadu, which was withdrawn by the previous DMK Government.

It is also important that there are many corruption cases, including those involving former Minister Thiru KN Nehru, for which FIRs are pending to be filed by the DVAC.

@VasanthLakshman Even a fool knows that % of votes is related to the number of constituencies contested. In 2026 BJP contested only 27+5 = 32 seats only, in terms of Loksabha seats it is only 5 seats. But in 2024 they contested 24 seats. So from 24 seats they got 11% and now from 4 seats 3%.
