Why is SS304 the most used stainless steel?
✅ Excellent corrosion resistance
✅ Good formability & weldability
✅ Cost-effective
✅ Non-magnetic in annealed condition
It’s the go-to for kitchens, architecture & industry.
Know your steel!

Is all stainless steel magnetic?
Not always.
🧲 Martensitic & ferritic grades (like 430) are magnetic.
🔹 Austenitic grades (like 304, 316) are mostly non-magnetic due to their crystal structure.
So, a magnet test alone won’t tell you everything.

What makes stainless steel “stainless”?
🧪 It’s the chromium.
With just 10.5% chromium, steel forms a thin oxide layer that resists rust.
Simple chemistry. Powerful performance.
