Just 8% of @UMichLaw’s 1L class is KJD (straight from undergrad), per email dean sent out today. Down from 20% in last year’s class.
If you want to talk about the legacy of segregation, this is the same police department which arrested MLK (and hundreds of others) in 1961 for peacefully protesting sparking one of the major campaigns of the civil rights movement.
