@BatsouElef I don’t doubt my ability. Usually I doubt others will see my capability.
There’s always going to be stuff we don’t know, that should be expected!
Last one is to put your soft skills into use. Smile when you speak, even if it's a voice call the tone comes through. Don't multitask while speaking with them. Remember their name, be interested, don't interrupt.
Basically, put your best self forward so they feel confident 🌟
Don't be afraid to use tech words, but also be comfortable explaining any you use in layman's terms if they ask.
Coming to a call prepared is also key. You should have talking points ready to go about what you're currently working on, why you're seeking a new role, etc. 3/
A lot of recruiters aren't familiar with particular tech stacks either, so using words that they have been told to look out for can be important.
For example, instead of saying you've used a styling library, say you've implemented TailwindCSS in a recent project. 2/
This might be a bit controversial, but I honestly think 4/5 times a recruiter just wants to make sure you won't embarrass them if they put you up for a role.
So your goal on that quick call is to be personable, confident, and to sound knowledgeable. 1/
