#WATCH | Guwahati, Assam | Secretary of Tea Association of India, Dipanjol Deka says, "The tea crop in India, especially in the northeast, is lagging by 3 to 4% as of June, primarily due to climate factors such as higher-than-ideal temperatures - averaging 36°C and peaking at 38-40°C - and insufficient rainfall, leading to drought-like conditions in some areas. Despite these challenges, the main tea gardens in upper Assam managed to survive due to sporadic rainfall. The industry lacks adequate irrigation systems, necessitating the implementation of more efficient drip irrigation, which is costly. We have written to the central and state governments for subsidies and soft loans to support these changes. Additionally, the industry needs reservoirs to sustain irrigation, further requiring government assistance... The market situation is grim, with lower-grade teas experiencing a 50% drop in sales and high-quality teas selling at a reduced price... There is also concern about the import of cheap Kenyan tea, which undermines the market and reputation of Indian tea. Requests have been made to the Commerce Ministry to impose duties on such imports to protect the Indian tea market..."

Someone in the US establishment needs to seriously educate their President @POTUS @realDonaldTrump that Kashmir is not a biblical 1000 year old conflict.

It started on 22 nd October 1947 - 78 years ago when Pakistan invaded the Independent State of Jammu & Kashmir that subsequently was ceded to India in’ FULL’ by Maharaja Hari Singh on 26 th October 1947 that includes areas illegally occupied by Pakistan till now .

How difficult is it to grasp this simple fact ?

A collection of 17 chapters, the book will give readers deep insights into extinct species or on the verge of extinction listed in the IUCN Red List.

The book examines how human activities have pushed these species to the brink of extinction and aims to instil environmental awareness in young adults. It strongly seeks to shift the anthropocentric worldview and foster urgency to prevent the Sixth Mass Extinction and save the planet.
