@NUFC360 A slightly different perspective on this. Were Gordon/Tonali really "top stars" last season? Gordon did next to nothing in the league & Tonali has been poor since the cup final. The optics arent great, but it could be shrewd to let them go. Assuming we sign aqequate replacements.
@ADMusgrove Letting ST go before signing an adequate replacement shows we have learned nothing. Even if they do believe they have replacements lined up, I think last summer has scarred our fanbase & the longer bringing in replacements drags on a larger portion of our fanbase will turn toxic!
Minimum wage in 2005 was £5.05 an hour.
A Freddo cost 10p.
One hour of work bought you 50 Freddos.
In 2026, minimum wage is £12.71 and a Freddo is 39p.
One hour of work now buys you just 32 Freddos.
So despite minimum wage more than doubling, your Freddo buying power has fallen by 36%.
If wages had actually kept pace with Freddo inflation, minimum wage would be £19.65 an hour today.
Forget economists. Forget politicians.
The Freddo has just delivered the most depressing cost of living graph you'll ever see.
@nufc95nath123@MattW36565526 100% this. I am indifferent to Tonali leaving, his performances last season were on the whole poor. NUFC do however need to prove that they have learned from past mistakes and not sanction a sale until a replacement is signed.
@justynvert@ECWwebsite I remember these matches - incredible! ECW had a lot of feuds you just knew would deliver - Lynn & RVD being another, Taz & Sabu, Dreamer & Raven etc. Great times!
@JoelBlandSport Personally I thought they were haggling because of PSR, but you cant blame the lad for choosing a team in the CL. Its not panic stations yet, far from it. I still think they'll come good in this window but they need to get a couple of signings through the door to calm nerves.
