Actually most people were okay with status quo reservation for a long time i.e. 50% quota. 10% EWS on top is a very recent intervention.

But now discussion is moving beyond that.

Every second state talking about breaking 50% ceiling. Many have done this already using various legal innovations. Going upto 75-85% quota with EWS.

There is the ultimate ambition of 100% quota - Jitni Abadi Utni Haq.

Then ofcourse the big daddy of them all - Private sector quota.

Congress is already pushing for Private sector university admissions as a starter for this (Article 15(5))

All these are genuinely upsetting a lot of people. You may say this is "रोना". But these concerns are bubbling up. And rightly so.

Dr BR Ambedkar himself won't be happy with relaxing cutoffs endlessly and doing 100% JAUH quotas.

There is also the fundamental issue of diluting cutoffs just for the sake of representational justice. That is a problem at principle level itself especially given the amount of distance between cutoffs across various categories. This has implications on overall quality and pursuit of excellence.

Godi media is a universal truth. Media by nature relies on gormint support. So whether it is India, Canada, America or any other part of the world, beyond a point media will always be in some Godi or another.
Social media had a good run for a while. But now the Godi syndrome is all over the SM landscape too. There's a reason why "nature" is not seen as God's gift to man to exploit (as in the Christian world view). Nature is part of God.

Dear @nitin_gadkari , there are three claims in this statement of yours. Let's go one by one.
1. "My brain is worth 200 crore a month" - No comments, as I don't have any mechanism to evaluate the money worth of one's brain.
2. "I am not at all short of money" - I'm sure you've plenty of money. So no arguments there.
3. "I don't stoop low" - This is where most, including me will disagree. Because when you call ppl questioning your policies as anti-national, you stoop low.
When you make policies that are detrimental to crores of citizens and their hard earned vehicles, you stoop low.
When you poke your nose into other ministries whereas the work of your own is in shambles, you stoop low.
When you arrogantly continue with your whims and fancies despite a conflict of interest being clear as day, you stoop low.
