@SongsByHamilton@elonmusk How about this as a point. California, like other states, requires a ID to buy alcohol, cigarettes, some over-the-counter meds, travel on a plane, the list goes on; why is an ID to vote, arguably one a the most important things a citizen in a free society does, so controversial?
@MrPool_QQ I have no problem with the tracking. I am tracked by the government that is supposed to be serving me every single day for almost everything I do. It's about time the tables are turned and the servants are tracked.
@wdunlap@MAGAVoice Since we run over a $1 trillion deficit every year, sees would stay the same. With luck we could run a surplus, but I'm not holding my breath on that one as it appears both parties like to spend too much.
@Elevation586 @Megatron_ron I'm conservative and I dumped it. TBH, I didn't use it much anyway, but all the extra things they now say they will track was to much for me to swallow.
@Chetmeister@LeadingReport If those states were not receiving federal government money, you would be correct, but states signed that away long ago unfortunately, they are now dependent on it.

@carolae144@GeneralMCNews That money the banks lended belonged to the people who had deposits there. They got some interest on savings because the banks get interest from the loans. It's getting those kids hooked on welfare and handouts before they even hit the job market.
@LauraLoomer The president isn't a king or a dictator, or shouldn't be, laws are set by congress, judges just enforce what's passed. If he wants to change the laws, he must go through congress.
@allenholub That depends on what data is exposed by that payment system: name address, account number, etc... I don't want to give hackers any extra data about me.
