Between Ketu and Mile 12, these boys snatch phones inside traffic. They jump to snatch phones inside BRT. They pickpocket at Mile 12 and Ketu. If you try to hustle bus to Ikorodu thinking you are struggling with fellow passengers, phones ti lor.

Some days ago, two women were pickpocketed at Mile 12 losing 3 phones while rushing bus. Two iPhone 12 pro and one 13 pro max. They didn’t even know until one was looking for hers and told the other to switch on her phone torch for her 😭😭

Thank God, they got to the area and the tracking started. Someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone helped them to enter Mile 12 deepest home of bad boys. They paid 20 for connection and they were to pay 50k each on the phones if they can find it.

This is no joke, over 50 phones were brought out. Over 50 iPhones and theirs were not even there. The bad guys had to agree that it’s another sect that carried out the operation and their phones should already be in Mushin. They had to reach out to the buyer from Mushin who tried but from the many phones with him, none belonged to them. He already told them he will only release each phone at 100k. Certainly, the phones were in the hands of another sect.

The crime ring is very deep. These boys have buyers who will sell the phones in pieces. While they were still inside the lungu, boys came in with iPhone 13 and 15 pro max that they just snatched. Another victim 😭.

These boys are everywhere. Mushin, Ikorodu Garage, Mile 12, Ketu, Mile 2, Alakija, Oshodi, everywhere but they have standby buyers.

We don’t have government who will help us. They do all these in front of Mile 12 police station and nobody will do anything.

Be security conscious because you have no one. Hold your phone in your hand when you struggle for bus. 🙏🙏

Pedestrian arguments like this tire me bcos it plays into the hands of a government that’s not interested in fixing anything. Lack of Dirt or trash isn’t the reason why Netherlands does not flood! I don’t know why we keep going back to this topic!

The reason Amsterdam doesn’t flood is bcos of billions of dollars investment in world class flood protection engineering & technology.

Also Dubai floods every year too and Dubai isn’t dirty but they have terrible flood protection systems which they are currently investing billions of dollars building proper sewage reticulation systems, flood detentions systems, flood gates and levees, etc to fix the flood problems! Few years from now when flooding becomes a thing of history in Dubai you’ll be here still blaming Lagos’s dirtiness which is still a problem caused by inadequate government infrastructure for it.

Have you also ever asked yourself why no matter how badly Lagos floods, Eko Atlantic is NEVER flooded? The simple reason is bcos the private company that built & owns Eko Atlantic engaged the same Dutch engineers that designed the flood protection systems in the Netherlands to design that of Eko Atlantic!

I really, really need an explanation from people who have in-depth knowledge about this.

Daniel got admission into 20+ schools globally and was awarded cumulative scholarships of over $1 million across the US, UK, and Canada from top schools to study Economics. Yet, he was told he didn't qualify to study the same Economics in a Nigerian university because he didn't do 5 "social science" subjects at O'Level.

This is someone who already took Harvard's 100-level Economics course at age 16 and passed, topped his Higher Diploma class in Economics and Business Management, and had A* in Economics, Business, and Mathematics at IGCSE. He was literally being chased by several global institutions, but NUC is stuck in its old ways.

Anyway, he's taking up an offer from a global institution.

I went to secondary school in Barkin Ladi 20 years ago. This is what SS1 - 3 boys were doing, night shifts in the blistering cold. I did it too. My mates in Oyo were sleeping or studying. I’ve watched this shit deteriorate in real time.

Barkin Ladi now looks nothing like it did when I graduated 14 years ago. I went to the same junction we used to buy stuff during outings last year & I was shaking. They don’t speak the same language. Crisis after crisis. Slowly, the people who used to till those lands are now doing menial jobs in the south. The names of the villages have changed. The senator representing that region was killed few days after I graduated when he attended a mass funeral of people who were massacred by the Fulanis who now occupy their homes. 14 years ago guys.

Trying to raise awareness about this state-backed conquest feels like screaming under water.

Few months ago, my aunt in mangu came to ask for money to trade cause she can’t farm anymore. Their farms were attacked 3 years ago. They wouldn’t dare go back.

For more than 10 years, we’ve had internally displaced persons from Borno living in our house, after my mother took them in. They only go back to their so-called homes for funerals. 3 brilliant kids; Elizabeth, Margaret and Grace (named after my now late mother for her benevolence). The dad does security work, the mom cleans. Who knows what they could’ve made of themselves back home? I do, they’d have been compost for aliens.

They’ll slice pregnant women open to kill their fetuses. They’ll feed women their kid’s fingers. They burn people alive, hack them with machetes. When people try to defend themselves, that’s when soldiers come in. They call it farmer-herder clashes. They say cattle was rustled. Cattle was rustled? That’s why you renamed my village and put 200 people in a mass grave ?

I remember @YarKafanchan saying that she wept after the 2015 elections cause she knew her people would die like flies & then what happened in southern kaduna? When people talk, they say where’s the evidence? But what about the bodies? Dying is a morbid thing to be skilled at but boy, we have experience.

We’ve seen “strategists” platform them and defend all manner of wrongdoing on the alter of political correctness.
