We often blame battery drain on a weak battery, but many times the real culprit is aftermarket accessories that weren’t installed or integrated properly. In this recent case, an aftermarket kit was drawing power even when the car was off and slowly draining the battery and causing repeat failures. With proper diagnostics, wiring correction, and system balancing, the issue was fully resolved. If you’re experiencing unexplained battery problems, don’t guess rather get it checked by professionals. Visit us along Magadi Road, Karen, or dial 0708455455 to book.
Not all engines are designed the same, and modern vehicles are tightly packed with electronics, gearboxes, and performance parts, which means some faults simply cannot be reached or repaired correctly while the engine is still in the car. When a problem is deep inside the engine or hidden at the back with examples of major oil leaks, timing issues, or internal damage and the safest and most professional solution is to remove the engine and fix it properly. This is not about overcharging rather it’s about accuracy, safety, and long term reliability. At @PrecisionAutoKE , we choose the method that protects your car and your investment, ensuring repairs are done once, done right, and built to lastbecause we need you to drive away with confidence, not repeat problems.
A coolant flush is advised before adding new coolant because it clears out old, contaminated fluid, rust, scale, and sludge that build up inside the cooling system over time. Old coolant loses its protective additives, and if it’s mixed with fresh coolant, it can reduce the new coolant’s effectiveness and even cause chemical reactions that lead to corrosion or blockages. Flushing ensures the radiator, hoses, water pump, and engine passages are clean, allowing the new coolant to circulate properly, cool the engine efficiently, and protect vital components from overheating, rust, and premature wear. Never mix different types of coolant.
If you want to switch from the coolant you're currently using to a different type, always carry out a complete coolant flush first.
Visit @PrecisionAutoKE and they will sort you out.
For those planning to buy a car, the cooling system is one of the areas we pay very close attention to during our inspections.
A neglected cooling system can easily lead to engine overheating and engine failure.
Instead of buying that car blindly, call us on 0729 686 646 and we'll come inspect it for you, helping you avoid costly surprises later.
@joan_reals bought a Jimny with the horsepower of a lawnmower & she's now lecturing everyone about conquering lake Ellis 😂.
The roof top of her jimny can't even reach the bonnet level of my Discovery.
I congratulate her on the purchase yes but I'll have to patiently wait to see her when she gets to the top.
It doesn't matter how capable your car is,as long as the suspension is compromised you will never enjoy it's full potential. And that's why @PrecisionAutoKE decided to set apart their kilimani branch for nothing but suspension works and oil servicing.
Make sure you contact them for all your suspension needs, engine and gearbox service.
In diesel vehicles, the fuel filter plays a critical role because diesel fuel is more prone to contamination than petrol. Its job is to trap dirt, rust, water, and fine particles before they reach sensitive components like the high pressure fuel pump and injectors, which run at extremely tight tolerances. When a diesel fuel filter is neglected, it can easily get destroyed by dirty or low quality fuel, water contamination, microbial growth or in other terms diesel bug, rust from old tanks, or simply overrunning service intervals. Once clogged or damaged, fuel flow drops, leading to hard starting, poor acceleration, injector failure, and in severe cases, complete fuel pump damage. In short, a clean fuel filter is cheap protection, while a bad one can turn into a very expensive diesel repair. Now you know why servicing is important. Visit us along Muringa rd or dial 0786888988.
Cars use different battery sizes because their power needs vary based on engine size, electronics, and vehicle type. Small cars usually run on 35–45Ah batteries, which are sufficient for basic systems and smaller engines. Mid-size sedans and compact SUVs often require 50–65Ah batteries to handle added electronics and stronger starting demands. Larger SUVs, vans, and diesel vehicles typically use 70–100Ah batteries since they need more cranking power and support for features like advanced infotainment, sensors, and auxiliary systems. Luxury cars and vehicles with start stop technology may also require AGM or EFB batteries, which are designed to handle higher electrical loads. Choosing the correct battery size is important to ensure reliable starting, proper electrical performance, and longer battery life.

Here is why this car landed at our garage. From the earlier assessment, we went a step further by opening up the engine and setting it aside to properly access the gearbox. What we discovered was concerning and silicone had been used in place of the correct gearbox seals. While silicone might look like a quick fix, it is never a proper substitute for genuine seals. Over time, it breaks down under heat and pressure, fails to hold transmission fluid effectively, and allows leaks to reoccur. This kind of shortcut often points to previous poor workmanship and leads to fluid loss, contamination, overheating, and accelerated internal wear. In the long run, using silicone instead of proper seals only creates bigger, more expensive gearbox problems that could have been avoided by doing the job correctly the first time. Avoid shortcuts they cost way more. For gearbox issues get in touch with us via 0708455455 or find us along Magadi rd Karen.
So apparently wonders never end and here is why. I just made a video on how to differentiate between fake and genuine and boom, my inbox floods. Fake and genuine parts can look almost identical, and that’s where many car owners go wrong. Don’t fall for sweet deals or buy parts just because the packaging looks original. Replica parts are made to look convincing, not to last, and they often lead to poor performance, repeat breakdowns, and frequent garage visits. Genuine parts may cost more upfront, but they save you money, time, and stress in the long run. When it comes to your car, authenticity is not about looks rather it’s about reliability and peace of mind. Well follow our WhatsApp channel for daily carcare tips and more: https://t.co/SbJrN7fk3O
Remember the Range Rover we overhauled all the way from Tanzania? The feedback has been nothing but positive, and we’re happy to report it made the journey back home safely, running smoothly and performing exactly as intended. A job well done from @PrecisionAutoKE team.
Rust is best dealt with by removing it completely, and that’s where sand blasting proves highly effective. Sand blasting works by forcefully propelling abrasive material onto the affected metal, stripping away rust, old paint, and corrosion right down to clean bare steel. This method doesn’t just hide rust rather it eliminates it, including the hard to reach areas that grinding or sanding often miss. When done correctly, it leaves a perfectly clean surface that allows primers, paints, or protective coatings to bond properly, preventing rust from coming back too soon. In terms of efficiency, sand blasting is fast, thorough, and reliable, making it one of the most effective long term solutions for serious rust problems, especially on chassis parts, panels, and underbody components. Fake vs genuine and here’s the real difference. This is a Range Rover suspension pump, and at a glance they may look similar, but the performance tells a very different story. A genuine pump is built with high quality internals, proper sealing, and correct pressure tolerances, meaning it works quietly, lasts longer, and protects the entire air suspension system. A fake or low quality copy may be cheaper upfront, but it often struggles to build pressure, overheats, fails prematurely, and can even damage other suspension components. That’s why when buying parts, always source from a genuine and reliable supplier otherwise you’ll find yourself fixing the same issue every month and spending far more in the long run. Brake discs are one of those parts you don’t think about until they start causing trouble, yet they’re crucial for your safety. With time and mileage, they wear down, overheat, or lose their smooth surface, which means your car won’t stop as effectively as it should. You’ll usually notice this through vibrations on the steering wheel when braking, strange grinding or squealing sounds, visible grooves or a thick edge on the disc, or a general feeling that the car is taking longer to stop. Leaving worn brake discs unattended doesn’t just affect braking rather it also wears out your pads faster and can lead to bigger, more expensive repairs. Replacing them early keeps your braking sharp, your drive smooth, and your confidence on the road intact. Visit our branches or dial us on 0786888988/0708455455.
