I just read Age of Fire, by E.E. Knight and really enjoyed the books. I drew one of my favorite scenes from book 2! If you've read Age of Fire, whos your favorite character / sibling?
@CptRexDragon I do, thinking back, wish the Dragonblade hadn't maimed the copper. After book 2, I wanted to see him redeemed. Then I read that scene where he cut RuGaard's wing and was like .... no this guy's bad. Real bad. Gah I wanted him to be better than that! Could've been Gobold instead
@CptRexDragon Yeah, both AuRon and Wistala were very introspective and intelligent in this regard. I liked how they both grew up and understood these things, like when Wistala refused the sacrifice on her Northern flight, and when AuRon lands well-outside Mossbell to approach it with escort.
@CptRexDragon I also wonder if he spared Wistala deliberately in the second book, seeing she was not making herself a threat or nuisance to the hominids there. Not sure on that one, but that scene was very interesting.
@CptRexDragon He was a good guy in the first two books, honorable and a defender of humanity from what were actually man-eating monsters, but from our dragon pov, he was the antagonist. In book 3 he's way crueler and his character went downhill in my opinion.
@HowlinNapalmArt Agreed! RuGaard really won me over, as I'd started his book expecting to not like him. I forgave him instantly after I learned what actually happened - and to a hatchling at that. DharSii was great too!
@CptRexDragon Oh yeah they're all great. Definitely appreciate the mention of the Dragonblade. After book 2 I really thought he was gonna have a redemption, as he seemed to have honor when he punched Hammar and left Mossbell. Book 3 didn't go quite as I predicted with his character.
