@ChefDoomy I’d imagine that as well, as of right now DSMNY is only receiving apparel (no cryoshots) which is pretty telling about how limited this may be, the one wildcard is the national team stores that I could definitely see ending up receiving a good portion of the total stock
And as alluded to here, the clothing stock is ridiculously low. Typically, the US allocation for Nocta clothing releases falls in the 500-1000 range per item, but that's certainly not the case here.
The anthem jacket is #1 priority for me (the best item in pretty much all of the X2 collabs), but here are the stock levels for some of the highlights from this drop. No clothing item has more than 100 units available.
Size-by-size breakdown of stock, definitely a tad bit lower than usual for a Nocta footwear release (typically stock is in the 2000-2500 pair range), definitely worth moving quickly on Thursday night if you're after a pair of these, they're going to sell out fast ⚡️
AD: Dropping tomorrow at 10:00 AM EST via Nike SNKRS is the Nike SB Air Force 1 "Flax" for $120.

While SNKRS is always the best option for new Nike releases, we know that sell out times can often be quick on there! Took an L? No worries! Check out every retailer carrying this release (with live stock information) via our new website, SnkrIndex, here: https://t.co/PMlI0zCguI
AD: A bunch of sizes in the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 993 “Arctic Blue” are available via Goat for $147, significantly below their $220 retail price as well as current StockX asks (~$180-200 range on average).

Launching next week is Nike’s “X2” collection, a 50+ piece collection consisting of collaborations between seven of Nike’s biggest and most influential collaborators and their respective home nation’s national teams.
One very interesting detail about this drop is that Nike is staggering the release throughout the day, with one collaboration going live every hour, starting with the South Korea x PEACEMINUSONE collection at 1:00 PM EST and finishing off with the USA x Virgil Abloh Archive collection at 7:00 PM EST. This is highly unusual as even on days with several high heat releases set to take place, typically all of them go live at the same time, 10:00 AM EST. Notably, one of the only ever times Nike released a new product collection in this fashion, with drops staggered across several hours was the original Nike x Virgil Abloh “The Ten” collection. Anticipating off-the-charts levels of demand, “The Ten” was launched via Nike SNKRS on 11/20/2017, starting with the Air Presto at 1:00 PM EST and finishing off with the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG at 3:00 PM EST.
In many ways, “The Ten” kicked off what would become a renaissance for Nike collaborations, often regarded as a golden era for the brand. In the years following, Nike would launch some of its most memorable, collectible collaborations ever released, including the Sacai LD Waffle, the Union Jordan 1, the initial Travis Scott Air Force 1, the CPFM Swarovski Dunk, and the Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97, just to name a few.
Objectively, the game has changed since that time. The total addressable market for fashion products in general has shrunk as macroeconomic headwinds have created an environment where discretionary spending is no longer as feasible for many consumers as it once was. From a microeconomic perspective, the game has changed as well. There are simply more competitors, each of whom has managed to gain some ground, and capture a share of a market that was once heavily concentrated amongst a few key players. In short, the industry has never been more competitive than it is now, with a wider field of brands competing in one of the most challenging market environments of the past 20 years. It is for this reason that brands are searching harder than ever before for opportunities to strengthen their positions and win over customers.
The FIFA World Cup represents one of the largest marketing opportunities in existence. Outside of the Olympics, it is the only moment where the entire world, across continents, languages, and cultures draws its attention to one event, all at once. As such, it is of utmost importance for brands to execute flawlessly and make the most of this fleeting opportunity. Clearly, Nike understands this and is pulling out all the stops to make the most of the moment. Not only does the collection have global appeal by design, featuring some of the world’s most popular national teams and designers, but the advertisements that have been run for Nike’s World Cup efforts have utilized some of the biggest star power in its roster. Interest in this collection instantly jumped as soon as Nike unveiled their “Rip the Script” short film advertisement, featuring 20+ of the world’s biggest entertainers and athletes, including Travis Scott, LeBron James, LISA, and Kylian Mbappé.
On top of all of this, the collection itself is quite accessible, with many of the most interesting and high-demand apparel pieces available for under $100, at a time when virtually everything else is becoming more expensive. All in all, the pre-release rollout and collection itself seemingly have all the elements required to be a huge hit, not just with Nike’s current largest customers, but with new customers as well.
The question that only time will be able to answer - will “the seven” X2 collabs end up being the next “The Ten,” kicking off a new golden era of Nike collaborations and re-affirming Nike’s position as the leader of this market segment? In the next few years, the launch of the X2 capsule may very well be seen as one of Nike’s best strategic product decisions, and a true turning point for the brand.
Definitely flew under the radar, but Palace just unveiled a second multicolor colorway of their English National Team jersey as part of the Nike World Cup 'X2' program. Arguably an even better colorway of what's already my favorite jersey in the whole collab. Very excited for this one…
Preorder raffle going live at 11:00 AM EST via the Kith App for the Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble "Kith Knicks"
As our friend @brandon1an pointed out in his blog post yesterday, this is the second time in the past few weeks that a Nike collaboration has been put up for preorder, as opposed to the standard model where an allocation is pre-produced and released on a set date. I'd expect we'll see this a lot more going forward, especially if this preorder window results in a high volume of orders, similar to what we saw from the Melitta Baumeister Vomero/Pegasus Premium preorder window last week.
Nike ($NKE) stock has fallen approximately 65-70% in the past five years, from the $130–150 range in mid-2021 to the current share price of around $43 at the time of writing. Aside from some obvious macroeconomic headwinds stemming from a weakened consumer base, one challenge Nike has certainly faced is adjusting inventory levels to meet current demand after coming off an artificially hot market during, and just following, the pandemic.
A preorder like this is a fantastic strategic move for a brand in Nike's current position. Not only does it generate a high level of revenue in the moment, it also serves as both a research tool and a risk-reduction mechanism. By not capping the number of pairs sold in any given size, Nike gains real-time insight through these preorders into how demand breaks down across sizes for specific product lines, which allows for more informed future production decisions. This is incredibly valuable for avoiding situations like the one we saw with the Melitta Baumeister release, where the majority of pairs were produced in smaller sizes, which makes sense, given that Baumeister's label is woman-owned and produces products almost exclusively for women. Come release date, actual demand turned out to be mainly for larger sizes, which left the smaller sizes sitting unsold on shelves while the massively underproduced larger sizes traded for 3–4x retail on the secondary market.
Additionally, preorders are a great risk-reduction tool, as they allow Nike to capture the full extent of current demand without overproducing any inventory.
To be fair, the one risk this strategy does introduce is the potential for a large uptick in "buyer's remorse" on collaborations. With an average six-month window between preorder and delivery, there's a real catalyst for some buyers to regret their purchase once the order lands months later, a phenomenon inherently tied to preorders across all industries. To mitigate this, brands need to be explicit about the delivery timeline at every stage of the checkout process.
In conclusion, this collaboration preorder format is largely the best of all worlds. It lets anyone who wants the product to purchase it with ease at retail, avoiding paying multiples on the secondary market, while allowing Nike and its collaborator to capture the full extent of current demand and gain valuable insights to forecast future demand, all while virtually eliminating the very real risk of over/underproduction. I anticipate we'll see a lot more of this going forward, as it's truly a benefit for all parties involved.

AD: Dropping tonight at 12:00 AM EST for Lego Insiders is the Minas Tirith, one of the castles from J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and Lego’s 6th largest set ever by piece count, coming in at a whopping 8,278 pieces. (Not an Insider? Just create a free account.)
With these large, exclusive Lego sets, the best deal usually comes from buying right away on release day rather than waiting. Lego rarely discounts them, and ordering early often nets you a rare, collectible free gift with purchase. For the Minas Tirith, that free gift is the Grond set. These free GWPs rarely ever stay available for long.

Who woke up to a W this morning?
Despite the mess that was submitting an entry, it seems the selection process worked very smoothly and I’ve seen more Ws than I can ever recall from a Travis Scott website Jordan 1 Low raffle.
Congrats to those who woke up to some good news!
Just worked for me for the Air Jordan 1 Low SP OG x Travis Scott Raffle:
1) Add a random clothing item to your cart, wait until you pass queue (currently 6 minutes).
2) Once you pass queue and see the checkout page loaded, in a new tab remove the random clothing item from your cart.
3) In the new tab, select the pair you want to enter for, check the three boxes, select the size you want, and press continue.
After doing this you should be brought straight to the checkout page, where you can submit your entry. This is working as of right now in Google Chrome, not sure if it will work on all browsers, but it's worth a shot!
Good luck!
