Let's follow the logic here:

Trump knows the price of gas is the nail in the coffin of his presidency. If he can't open the Strait of Hormuz (which he closed through his idiotic actions), then the price of oil will continue to go up and he won't be able to stop the blue wave in the fall.

This is existential to Trump in a way it wouldn't be to other presidents because Trump risks not only being removed from office but put on trial for his obvious affiliation with Jeffrey Epstein.

So let's get this straight:

Trump is willing risk global apocalypse in order to hide the fact that he raped children.

Not escalating war that is hurting people.
