From Tragedy to Triumph โ Swr Prem Kumar Aleโs Story of Unbreakable Will.
Swr Prem Kumar Ale of the RVC Corps sustained a life-changing spinal cord injury in an on-duty road traffic accident in 2009. Paraplegia placed him on a wheelchair, but never confined his courage, purpose or will to fight back.
At PRC Kirkee, #Pune, he turned rehabilitation into a mission of self-renewal. Through pain, discipline and relentless effort, he embraced wheelchair basketball, swimming, marathons and #badminton, rebuilding confidence one milestone at a time.
June 2026 marked another proud chapter in his remarkable journey. At the French International Para Badminton Championship, Mulhouse, he won Bronze in Menโs Singles WH1. Days later, at the British & Irish International Para Badminton Championship, Dublin, he secured Silver in Mixed Doubles WH1-WH2.
From a life-altering injury to international podium finishes, his journey reflects the finest soldierly spirit โ rising beyond adversity, competing with pride and bringing honour to the #Nation. And the journey continues, powered by courage, discipline and an unbreakable will to achieve more.
