CBS News: Bernie Moreno (R-OH) says he picked his granddaughter up from Max Miller on Sunday at the police station and Miller wouldn't hand over his daughter's favorite little blue bunny.
Moreno: “This girl is crying at night because she can't sleep without her little blue bunny. And his answer is, I'm just not going to give it to you.”
Jimothy’s popularity is likely going to get him euthanized. People are starting to corner him and traumatize him so they can get a photo with him, and leaving food out in hopes of coaxing him out, which attracts more wild animals that get subjected to people’s phones and need for hits of dopamine. Peanut the Squirrel went viral and ended up euthanized. So did Fred the raccoon. True love for wild animals means leaving them the fuck alone.
After 2024, I’ll never predict who can or can’t win a general election. I won’t engage in negativity, pessimism, or defeatism because that’s not how I roll.
I support all Democratic candidates winning in November, even those I may not like, disagree with, or find absurd.

At the end of a JRTC Rotation, my 1SG went out and bought pizza for the unit. I hadn’t eaten fast food during that month.
That evening I was sitting on vehicle guard, waiting to turn them in the next day so that we could go home. We had to place guards on them so that no one else would steal components that they had lost.
It wasn’t going to be a big deal: do a two hour shift, and then head back to the holding area and get some sleep.
4 hours into my 2 hour shift i realized that no one was coming.
Worse, the pizza had soured my stomach, and it was pouring outside.
The closest porta potty was at least 100m away.
I made a break for it, getting soaked along the way. And then disaster…I realized that there was no TP. It was 2am and raining so loud that no one would’ve heard my screams if I had tried.
I did the only thing I could think of. I pulled out my Gerber and cut off my boxers.
The next morning there was a formation where an NCO was yelling about people throwing out unauthorized items in the toilet.
I really hope they caught whoever did it.
As a Greek, I was introduced to Homer almost as soon as I learned to read. His epics are among the first great works we encounter at school, and they remain a living part of our cultural consciousness.
Given that, I really don't care whether Christopher Nolan has remained completely faithful to Homer or has taken creative liberties.
What truly matters is that he has brought Homer back into the world's imagination. If his film encourages people to return to the Odyssey, discover the Iliad, or venture further into the treasures of classical literature, then it has already accomplished something extraordinary. Any work of art that sends people back to the source has, in my view, made a genuine contribution to culture.
NO MORE OIL FROM SAUDI ARABIA FOR MONTHS.
OIL STABILIZING PLANT - removes gas, & water from oil as well as stabilizes it for transport.
REFINERY - converts oil into gas, diesel and jet fuel.
Saudi Arabia's largest crude oil processing facility Abqaiq struck and is still burning; the plant processes 7 million barrels per day.
Saudi Aramco’s Abqaiq refinery has been struck by drones, causing a massive fire at the facility and the East-West Pumping Station. NASA FIRMS satellite imagery confirms extensive fire.
Abqaiq is the world’s largest crude oil stabilization plant, processing 5-7% of global oil supply.
It's Saudi Arabia's main crude processing and stabilization facility.
It:
- Receives crude from the country's largest oil fields.
- Removes hydrogen sulfide and light hydrocarbons.
- Stabilizes the crude so it meets export specifications.
The stabilized crude is then transported to:
1. Ras Tanura in the Persian Gulf. (Closed)
2. Yanbu on the Red Sea. (Closed)
Abqaiq is Saudi Arabia's critical export bottleneck.
Also:
Saudi Arabia's Aramco shut down its 400,000 barrels-per-day Jazan oil refinery on Monday after Yemeni retaliatory strikes caused significant damage to the facility, where smoke is still billowing from the resulting fires and destruction, with repairs expected to take several months after fighting stops
According to newly released court filings and allegations, Rep. Max Miller (R-OH), son-in-law of Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH), poured hot water on his wife, put a gun to her head, and may have broken his two year old daughter's collarbone.

I want to be the first to congratulate the reporter(s) who are feverishly gathering intel on Mitch McConnell's status right now that will be published in a bestselling tell-all book in about a year.
Today we begin the religious countdown of the “12 days of Mitch McConnell’s death.” On August 4, the 12th night, we will celebrate the feast of the Epiphany, when Mike Johnson reveals to us that McConnell is dead.
