Since 2 a.m., I kept begging for help to save a cow fighting for her life. I called the 24×7 helplines, MCD, NGOs, and those who proudly call themselves gau-rakshaks—the ones who claim to have taken the “theka” of protecting cows. Not one came forward. Some ignored, some made excuses, and some shamelessly demanded money.

Now it’s too late. She is gone. She didn’t just die because of her injuries—she died because of the FAILURE of this system, the negligence of authorities, and the hypocrisy of organisations that only shout slogans but vanish when it’s time for real action.

This is not just the death of a cow. This is the death of our values, our humanity, and the trust people place in these so-called saviours. If this is what 24×7 service and gau-raksha means—then it is nothing but a cruel joke.

Her soul is gone, but the questions remain: Who will take responsibility for her death? Who will answer for this shameful failure?

🕯️ May she rest in peace. But let us never forget that her blood is on the hands of those who chose silence, delay, and excuses over compassion

It’s 5 a.m. right now, and for the last two hours I have been running from one call to another, begging people to come and save a cow lying in pain. I called the so-called 24×7 cow ambulance, I tried MCD, I reached out to people who proudly claim they have taken the “theka” of protecting cows. But the reality? Not a single one came forward. Some didn’t even bother to pick up the call, and a few shamelessly demanded money before even thinking of extending help.

Where is the humanity we talk about every day? Where is the compassion that we proudly preach in the name of religion, culture, and values? When an innocent, speechless soul is suffering right in front of us, are we really so heartless that we measure her life in terms of money? What does 24×7 service mean if, in the moment of truth, it is nothing but a false promise?

It breaks my heart to see how we, as a society, have become so indifferent. Everyone claims to be a “saviour” of cows, but when it comes to action, all those big words vanish. Do we not realize that these lives matter? That their pain is as real as ours? That saving them is not charity—it is our responsibility as human beings?

I am asking this question to every NGO, every government body, and every self-proclaimed cow protector: if you cannot be present when life is hanging by a thread, then what is the point of your slogans, your banners, your promises, your so-called “24×7 services”?

Today, I am not just heartbroken for this one cow. I am heartbroken for humanity. Because in this one incident, I saw the truth of how far we have drifted away from compassion, empathy, and responsibility. If we cannot stand for those who cannot even speak for themselves, then what is left of our humanity?

This is the matter of shame. DU was already late with results of #dullb2022 And now that it is out, there is this injustice everywhere.
Itna late kar diya ki ab aspirants ke pass koi or option nahi hai. Students will be demotivated & hopeless if this injustice happens
