If your theology leads you to a place where you don't need the local church, the church isn't necessary, you can't trust church history, you trash the creeds and confessions and you are essentially a rouge internet surfer then you need to re-think some things.
@parousia70@macrofern@opreterista@Oliver_G_Cowan Wanna know whats more hurtful. We have a mutual, Empire, a FP turned atheist who you never correct, rebuke or anything as he mocks our religion, you are friendly towards him but I post church tradition and Im an evil creedalist worthy of blocking. Gove me a break. Hypocrisy.
Question for David and others alike: since you are so against creeds and want to appeal to reform and always reforming, besides eschatology, which parts of the creeds, reformed tradition, and Christianity as s whole are you willing to change?
What those in power at a certain time in history believe to be true doesn't make it true. Everything has to be subject to Scripture.
There must be opportunity for the Creeds to be examined in light of Scripture.
Your Postmill eschatology is not found in the early post 70 church. They taught a soon return of the Lord not thousands of years of expansion before the return.
@parousia70@macrofern@opreterista@Oliver_G_Cowan Whats not a good look is you bad mouthing basic Christianity when you do nothing but debate about 70 AD all day with 0 fruit to show for it. Just a an online community you’re willing to turn your back on when they aren’t useful to your cause anymore.
@parousia70@macrofern@opreterista@Oliver_G_Cowan And for you to act the way you are after all the times I stuck up for you, dmd you, took what you said to heart, became a fp then you say im disingenuous? Why for constantly going to scripture which is what you said to do? Now you don’t like it? Again very hypocritical
@parousia70@macrofern@opreterista@Oliver_G_Cowan You’re not part of a local church, you don’t submit to any sort of leadership. You just debate bro online all day, mainly against dispys, good on you for that, but that’s all you do. So to play victim after I talk about things im interested in now is just utter insanity
Here’s more nuanced question for full preterists. Rome was l 1500 miles from Jerusalem, what did being caught up in the air to meet the dead and be with the Lord look like at 70 for Rome? They didn’t witness the actual destruction, how would they know the resurrection happened?
If the rising of the dead AND the meeting of the saints in the air happened in 70, then what objectively changed in the post 70 world for Christians or people in general? I see 0 change in the world really or in Christians that didn't already exist prior to 70.
@parousia70@macrofern@opreterista@Oliver_G_Cowan Got the message loud and clear. You were quiet about doing it which it is what it is. I hope you get thicker skin, you’re good at ruthlessly mocking anyone who isn’t FP but when I make comments you want to play victim. Time to grow up and put on big boy pants 👍
