The EFCL today expresses solidarity with its member Leagues, their members, and all residents in their communities, most especially youth, who could be made to feel unsafe or unwelcomed by a planned protest on their neighbourhood streets.

We dug a bit. This was put in place by an
@EFCL board member. They saw a mother at the bus stop struggling to put a bandage on their kid and lamented the loss of shelters/benches. So they donated furniture. It's been there for more than a year. Stories like this fuel our work.

I wonder what #yegCC planners consider when planning bus routes or develop plans for densification. On warmer days I'll definitely walk. If there's safe bike lockup maybe I'll finally buy a bike. Such is the reality of people who can't drive & rely on #yegTransit.
Happy to be attending the Urban Planning Committee meeting today to support our team in providing feedback on the #YEG District Plans. Community Leagues have been mentioned a few times already. Let’s ensure we have our say in the future of our city. #yegcc#yegcl#efcl

The EFCL is supporting Riverbend Community League volunteers who must now rebuild their hall after an act of violence against their facility. Want to help, financially or otherwise? https://t.co/k4EXVux8uV #yegcls#yegcc
Volunteers with Community Leagues just want to create safe spaces for our neighbours to gather. For Riverbend's hall to be hit not once, but TWICE, is appalling. Time spent dealing with the aftermath of vandalism is better spent building community.
After a vandalism in October and subsequent repairs being just finished this past week, the Riverbend Community League hall reopening is put on pause after another break-in Saturday morning. #yeg@GlobalEdmonton
