Solidified Victory; We Made History!
Results are certified. Being elected Ward 3 Alderman on the Annapolis City Council is one of the greatest honors of my life.
We won with the highest margin of victory citywide in both the primary (81.5%) and general (78.5%) elections.
Here, at our 2023 @NEAToday RA, our @MSEAeducators delegation just overwhelmingly voted to endorse President @JoeBiden and Vice President @KamalaHarris for the 2024 primary/general election.
Our country needs to unite and fulfill its promise to our people!

I appreciate you, Brooke, for thinking of me. Since being introduced, you have been supportive, even with taking the time to do a gesture such as this.
Our new Comptroller, @BrookeELierman, is on my list of top electeds thus far; let’s see what she brings over these next years.
As vice president of Superior Future, Inc., I see the impacts of our investment into our youth. Our board was recognized for leading the organization.
Our @AACoExec promises in reelected office to keep making Anne Arundel County the Best Place - for All.

Today is Primary Election Day, and your vote matters, as do Black Lives!
In making sure our people cast their ballot, I was enthused to see to it that Ms. Vernyce and Ms. Carolyn made it to their polling place and voted!
VOTE, and VOTE ALWAYS!
I took my 84-year-old great gma, Ms. Esther Mae, to early vote “for Democrats”, as she says! Today is the last day of Early Voting before Primary Election Day on 7/19.

I am honored that one of my favorite persons, my delegate in District 30A, @ShanekaHenson, pinned me with the Caucus of African American Leaders (CAAL) lapel pin.
The Caucus, chaired by the Honorable Carl Snowden, themed our Father’s Day celebration, “Kings with a Purpose”.
Baltimore isn’t getting one additional news outlet but two. With a no-strings-attached $1 million philanthropic gift, the Baltimore Beat re-launches in July as bi-monthly, Black-led print newspaper + website helmed by @LisaMcCray@JBrianCharles@halleteri.

Annapolis Elementary invited me to speak for their Destination Day, where I was asked to share my career/life experiences with students and staff.
I joined a class of 3rd graders and those who answered my questions correctly received a prize; one gift was the U.S. Constitution.
Judge Jackson’s confirmation was a historic moment for our nation. We’ve taken another step toward making our highest court reflect the diversity of America. She will be an incredible Justice, and I was honored to share this moment with her.
The council approved 2 new appointments to the Annapolis Board of Elections, @President_KSB, a Democrat and former Ward 3 candidate, and Debbie Yatsuk, a Republican and legislative assistant for the Maryland General Assembly. Chair Eileen Leahy (D) will return for another term.
Alderwoman Rhonda Pindell Charles and I met for our post-election chat last week; the convo was honest and timely.
Not only did we resolve with a hug, we concluded with a reestablished relationship and assured faith in God’s plan…
