Hey guys, Kevin, CEO of GLITCH here. Been trying to figure out when and how to express this, but now I think is the right time:
To the fans - Thank you, deeply. You are the reason we got here. I know it can get noisy online sometimes, but the real-world reality is that you are some of the most genuine, kind people we have ever had the privilege of meeting. We saw every cosplay, every discussion circle, every sticker shared outside the theatres. That is what this is all about.
To every person at/with GLITCH - I never doubted you for a single second. You are all so incredibly talented, and I am so proud that the impact of your work is now being felt on a world stage.
To the industry - Animation and cinema is art. Art is human expression. Digital Circus was a deeply personal story created to express complex feelings. Please let that be the signal you take from all of this.
To everyone - Keep making things and keep sharing your work. We found all our creators through the internet.
Now, here’s Pomni with her signature dance move.
Reminder that the guy who made Infinity Train worked on this (Owen Dennis)
So now TWO companies have fucked him over by dropping his series with no fucking advertising or care
We gotta destroy streaming services man
2026 has been a nightmare for Hollywood. Between the Digital Circus finale and Iron Lung, indie creators are proving that we don't need the old system and their gatekeeping
Still a long way to go but it's extremely hopeful and a change for the better
“Backrooms” is about the Gen Z experience of living amid the cultural detritus of the 1990s, faded photocopies of a decade that - at least aesthetically - never ended.
The uncanny reality of a 20-year-old witnessing Oasis reunions, “Frasier” revivals, “What’s Goin’ On?” memes.
THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS overperformed insanely with almost $7M on Thursday, surpassing BACKROOMS.
It is now on track for $30M+ over its 4-day opening weekend, the biggest domestic debut EVER for Fathom Events.
Autism indicator.
Bad at identifying and/or appropriately judging the rationality of social cues → repeatedly accidentally making people uncomfortable, without knowing why → conditioned to assume you’re ALWAYS screwing up socially, regardless of your progress
