BREAKING: Venezuela has been discussing leaving OPEC with US officials, per Bloomberg.

This comes amid reports that the US is negotiating a deal to take a large stake in Venezuelan oil fields.

Some US officials reportedly envision an “oil powerhouse” built from an alliance between the US and Venezuela that would greatly diminish OPEC’s influence.

OPEC appears to be on the verge of losing its second member in four months.

Kuwait and Pakistan signed a joint defense and military cooperation agreement during the Kuwaiti Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah's visit to Islamabad

The cooperation agreement, which constitutes a "significant step in defense and military cooperation between the two countries," said the statement.

The agreement helps promote operational coordination, exchange of expertise, and armed forces' integration to serve common interests and support regional security and stability, the army said.
