Well @LeoVaradkar - have a few good reasons why some roles may not work from home. Bartender will struggle to pour a pint from home, nurse or surgeon may struggle to administer care or perform an operation from home and a supermarket worker may struggle to work on a checkout. 1/2
I’m a big believer flexible working models are positive, have always encouraged where possible to, but look at the front line roles where home working isn’t possible, it’s again alienating & widening a gap between some industries & roles & giving some advantages over others.
#TonightVMTV let’s give hospitality, fireservices, healthcare , refuse , cleaners, the right to work at home - inequality again- biased to the 9/5 mon Friday employee
@Phelps_Lou Over worked, underpayed, stress leading to anxiety, barely able to take a holiday.
Unless chefs do 40-45 hour weeks and the pay is increased then this will continue to be a problem.
Off the back of that the cost of eating out needs to rise to deal with this problem.
@VirginMedia_One why do you persist with the same thread of ridiculous questions from the news anchor to remote reporters. If government don’t have the answers , it follows that the reporters don’t either.
Sensationalist nonsense!

Discovered this a while back, Fiona Fitzpatrick is brilliant at extracting the hidden nuggets of powerful information from her interviewees, a great series of podcasts to listen to. https://t.co/zOcObjlUuP
⚠️Update
Extremely stressful for Hospitality & Tourism business owners excluded from CRSS scheme especially event caters.
Some of these businesses who provided event catering for State Dinners & International Conferences have being refused financial supports since last March
@virginmedia the restaurant! Yet another repeat.
If you had to declare the times it was previously shown, you would need a second page to note the dates.
@EmilyODowd1 Are u still annoyed? A hug will fix that! Oh shite ... that’s still a no-no, mmmm kick a door! It might hurt afterwards but it will take your mind off the first issue..
@theJeremyVine listening in from ireland , it must cost at least 10 pounds to deliver? And what do you think is the minimum margin required to run a business? You never look at the whole picture
Saddened to hear about the passing of Albert Roux - he was a great chef, mentor and ambassador with a wonderful sense of humour that always lit up the room. One of the greats
