Many of the palm trees I see on the islands are not healthy. When I asked why, I was told, “At first, a white substance appeared on the palm trees, later turning into a black oily paste that drips onto other plants and spreads.” Sadly, it has already spread across the Maldives. The disease doesn’t only affect the leaves; it spreads through the trunk as well. This is deeply worrying for the entire coconut palm population, and it’s happening right before our eyes. The government must act.

A journalist asked President @MMuizzu a simple question:
“These are the call logs.
On several late nights, you called a young female coworker from your office. Why were you calling her at those hours?”

For that, Mohamed Shahzan was sentenced to 15 days in jail in what appears to be a closed-door hearing, with no lawyer present.

Another journalist, Leevan Ali Nasir, was given 10 days just for reporting on it.

This is not justice. It feels like intimidation.

When asking questions leads to jail, democracy is in serious trouble.

Release them now.

Ithubaaru އިތުބާރު (Trust) is not a slogan, nor something you can claim at a podium or promote through posters. Also, in his speeches, I have not heard much that gives me confidence that he can lead MDP to victory in the 2028 presidential election. All he seems to be doing is engaging in negative talk about his opponent.
