Improving post diagnostic support in #dementia. Collaborative research led overall by @UniofNewcastle. Implementation led by @UCL_PCPH. Funded by @alzheimerssoc
Our final @PriDemProject newsletter! Message from our Chief Investigator @GretaRait1 and a taster of our findings. Massive thanks to all participants, the research team past and present, @alzheimerssoc and our very special Clinical Dementia Leads 🙌🤩💙
Excellent study being led by @sgriffiths_6 - looking for social prescribers, GPs, practice nurses, care co-ordinators, dementia advisors, health and wellbeing coaches...
⭐️ Another @PriDemProject paper in @BMJ_Open ⭐️
Intervention to improve dementia support was feasible and acceptable, as were our evaluation methods.

Delighted that our latest @PriDemProject paper has been published. I wrote this on retreat with @sgriffiths_6 and @KatieflanaganPC just before going on mat leave, so feels a real achievement to have it out just before I return. https://t.co/fnpMIRc9dt
🎉 New @PriDemProject paper published! 🎉
Well done team, especially @ejmspencer.

The @PriDemProject evaluation study tested out a new approach to improving dementia care and support for people with dementia and carers following diagnosis.
These new, short animations introduce some of the findings ⬇️

Interesting talk from Emily Spencer @PriDemProject at #33AEC. Great to see the project was so impactful in increasing the number of GP #dementia care plan reviews & improvements in what was in them. Although terrible that the baseline was only 37% when it’s been a requirement for many years
An interesting & comprehensive read - this month even better as there's an article on ILC's research on healthy ageing in Japan - and how Japan might learn lessons from the UK, for example about #DementiaCare from @alzheimerssoc funded @PriDemProject - see pages 54 to 55
Are you a primary care clinician interested in doing a fully funded PhD? Great opportunities below, studying with us lovely bunch @UCL_PCPH. Please share!
