@SAAdvantage@vern158@sambillings There just isn’t the money for this in cricket though. How does a smaller county improve if the talent pool potentially does not exist? Only 4 of the 16 in the WI will play div 2 this year. Football just isn’t comparable as there is 10x the talent pool in terms of participation.
@SAAdvantage@vern158@sambillings Is that not effectively franchising it then anyway? Why would smaller counties invest in players to potentially lose them? There isn’t enough money in county cricket for a transfer system unless you are a team at a test venue so you are effectively alienating Div 2.
