Flintoff playing his last test aged 31 never sat right for me. If his body held up he'd have plugged the only real gap - the no.6 bat - in Flower's 2009-2013 team (although arguably he'd bat 7 behind Prior). He'd also be a fifth bowling option that team never really had.
