Pride in Protest is a grassroots, direct-action group. Our objectives are to put the protest back into pride, advocate for all LGBTQI+ people and share stats.

We are horrified, but not surprised by the homophobic attack at Waltham Pride over the weekend. It confirms our campaign #PrideinProtest

But as @YusufJP_ states; those using this incident to peddle islamaphobic rhetoric are also deplorable. Hate crime is a crime. Fullstop.

We are encouraged to see that @MPSWForest are already investigating the incident. We hope that the offender is brought to justice, as is infrequently the case in 4/5 anti-LGBTQI+ hate crimes committed in Britain.
