Completely broken, pro-fraud system.
It's responsible journalism since faking having diseases/disabilities or exaggerating their seriousness for financial gain or sympathy is so common there's a scientific name for it.
It's a pathology that absolutely should be investigated if suspected.

Since when is speculating whether an person is autistic & non-verbal as a child is 'responsible' or journalism? This went well beyond an investigation of scientific misconduct (which I've never seen the Guardian take this much interest in when white academics have been involved)
@PYeerk It literally is responsible journalism since faking having diseases/disabilities or exaggerating their seriousness for financial gain or sympathy is so common there's a scientific name for it. It's literally a pathology.

People have straight up lost their minds over the Jason Arday thing. It’s bonkers to watch. Very culty. Sometimes I think large parts of society miss organised religion more than they’re willing to acknowledge.
@vixmcintyre@TheDrRansom@sophiathebold Yeah, it's a way of shifting the blame onto her and her choices rather than expecting better from every man. Typical chud.
And Zack Polanski has doubled down on his demands for greater press regulation. He also doesn’t appear to have much time for debate — or for people who hold opinions contrary to his own.
Freedom of the press is a central pillar of a democratic society. The fact that the leader of a mainstream British political party is speaking in such forceful and ominous terms about restricting our press should concern us all.
The mask has slipped. This is a full-throated endorsement of censorship. It is authoritarian, plain and simple 👇
I'm sorry, but it is actually insane that we're being told someone who retained CARTER RUCK as an attack dog was a smol bean victim of press harassment
The replies to this are interesting. They pile on this lady for radical identification with Christ.
Guys, radical identification with Christ IS the thing.
I think it’s interesting to note how two of the men who have written extremely florid warnings about the innocent becoming the subject of excessive media focus were themselves the subject of quite reasonable attention as a result of accusations of abusing women.
In the 22 days before his death, 249 articles were published about Jason Arday. That's more than 10 a day.
Tia Lazaro-James has launched a petition on https://t.co/7nKW12tdpN calling on the government to protect individuals from media harm.

@JasonLouMiller Ableist? I suspected you had special needs but I was polite enough not to mention them...
If you're referring to Arday, he clearly wasn't autistic and, if he was, he *still* wouldn't be allowed to steal and defraud people.
@catholicpat In the Middle Ages, Jesus as a birthing mother suckling His children with His breasts was a common motif in art.
[No, I am not making this up.]
