Oh think ffs biggest issue is that the series's idea of appealing to a wider audiences means dumbing down and streamlining RPG experiences.

Ff15 and 16 are prime examples do this.

FF isn’t really known to sell well on Xbox in general, and when you couple the fact that these are releasing years after their initial launch, it just makes it worse. But I do agree that FF as a franchise needs course correcting.

How do you do that? Well to start off, gameplay consistency is key. FF’s biggest problem is reinventing the wheel every game with no identity to its gameplay.

I like that the series is so open to experimentation but there has to be a limit. Final Fantasy needs to pick a lane for the next handful of games before they even think of changing directions again.
