@DMTool1@clarityysix Literally Destiny 1 was founded by the success of Halo 3, then Bungie and Destiny were adquired by Activision and then the history continues. D2 was founded by D1 income and then the next DLCs.

Again, if D2 didnt make any money across the years, it should have ended in Lightfall by your logic.
And yeah, there are multiple sources that confirms D2's income was splitted to develop multiple games
@DMTool1@clarityysix Its easy, Marathon wouldnt exist without Destiny, do you want to know why Destiny only made lost?, just see the budget of Marathon, gummy bears and other canceled proyects by Bungie.
And Marathon its not making a good profit, neither its interesting anymore for a free trial

In every angle possible, Marathon doesnt have enough numbers to help Bungie to survive, its a good game yes, but its not making profit. It cant survive withou Destiny
@DMTool1@clarityysix You cant say a game is succesfull when a cheaper DLC made the same sales and just a year after they closed the game. Literally Marathon is a 6 year game and maybe 5 times more expensive than EoF and Renegades combined and its sales are just low. You cant say it has good revenue

@DMTool1@clarityysix Whats the point of costing nothing to mantain if its generates nothing? Having less players than the launch means they are not selling games, its a complete loss, Marathon its a good game, but a sales failure. Thats the reality and there´s not source that tell the opposite

Marathon could survive with that number, Bungie cant survive with that number.
Its cheaper? Yes, it making revenue? No, we are taling about a 200 million dollar game, its more expensive than this 3 years of Destiny

@DMTool1@clarityysix Literally you just showed me that D2 made a lot of profit on this days but the investment of that profit is the problem. Marathon has less than 50k overall players on its FREE week, this doesnt look good for Marathon, thats the reality
@DMTool1@clarityysix Literally says it didnt reach the expectaction EVEN if it has very lucrative releases, awe are talking about a multigame company which needs high income in order to found multiple games. Thats why Bungie didnt report losses on their time as freelancers
@DMTool1@clarityysix Literally numbers are everything, thats why a lot of post of Marathon having low numbers came over the months, if numbers didnt matter then a lot of games should be shut down. Thats how this works

They were bad recieved by the community, and now that they are bringing the players what the have been asking, numbers are just growing again

Again, that came because bungie invested in a lot of games instead of Destiny
@DMTool1@clarityysix Literally the talks of being adquired started before WQ, and even Lightfall launch has very good numbers, it was the poor managment of Bungie which made all he loss. You cant tell me Destiny was the responsable of cancelling 3 games of millions of dollars

2- Source? Because the last time i checked it was overgrowth by Halo Reach for the 360 in my region, now, even Bluey has more players than Marathon
@DMTool1@clarityysix If it didnt made any revenue, then why Sony would buy them in the first place at the 87% of Lucasfilm when it was adquired by Disney?
