President Fรฉlix Tshisekedi now stands at the center of a historic national moment, as the Democratic Republic of Congo returns to the World Cup after 52 years, at the moment when the country seeks to reposition itself globally: marketing its ecotourism assets, signalling investment readiness through reforms, linking security to infrastructure, celebrating diaspora talent, and uniting a fractured nation.
Nevertheless, after 52 years, the Leopardsโ roar has reminded the world that DR Congo is more than its conflicts; it is a country of immense potential ready to rejoin the global conversation.

This is Dr. Von Batten. At approximately 4:51 p.m. today, I received first reports of a possible security incident involving the First Lady of the #DRC, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi ย @DeniseNyakeru. According to preliminary information, individuals identified by security as Rwandan nationals allegedly attempted an unlawful and hostile breach of the First Ladyโs hotel room.
Security personnel intervened swiftly, leading to a brief but intense struggle. The suspects ultimately escaped, with some accounts indicating they may have fled in a vehicle believed to have official links to the @PaulKagame Government of Rwanda @UrugwiroVillage. At this stage, it remains unclear whether this incident constituted an attempted assassination, an act of intimidation, or an effort to conduct surveillance.
What is clear from reports is that the rapid response of security personnel prevented a potentially serious escalation. We commend their decisive action and are grateful that the First Lady is safe. The United States Government has been informed, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as more verified information becomes available. In the meantime, we ask for prayers for the safety of the First Lady, President #Tshisekedi @FelixUdps@Presidence_RDC, and their family.

President @PaulKagame is not sending troops to peacekeeping operations because he is about peace. He is sending them because the Kagame @UrugwiroVillage regime gets paid for every soldier deployed. This has become a money-making business for the #Kagame regime.
Here are the facts as we know them: The US and the EU, directly or through the @UN, pay Kagameโs @UrugwiroVillage per soldier sent. While @RwandaMoD troops (who are now under US sanction) are paid peanuts, ask yourself whose children are studying in Europe and the United States.
The Kagame regime @onduhungirehe@RwandaMFA is now threatening to pull troops from #Mozambique unless payment is guaranteed. That is not peacekeeping; that is extortion. This is a shameful extortion strategy, and @StateDept, @EU_FPI, and @EUCouncil should rebuff it and show the Kagame regime the door.

โPastors & faith leaders make joint statement to President Trump, Christian, and the USA๐บ๐ธ
I was moved to tears upon receiving this video from treasured brothers and sisters in the DR CONGOโฆdear friends who are in the middle of their own great suffering.
โIt reads:
๐จ๐ฉMESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE & SOLIDARITY
โLate last week, pastors were gathered to discuss the matters of our nation, the Democratic Republic of Congo, when we received the heartbreaking news of the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk.
โWe paused to send this message to President Donald Trump, the Christian community, and the people of the United States of America. Our prayers are with you in this dark and painful moment. We ask the Lord to bring healing, strength, and peace to Mr. Kirkโs family, and to comfort the entire nation.
โOur hearts are with America, a nation that has shown care and concern for the people of Congo. Today, we share in your grief and stand with you in prayer.
As Scripture declares: โThe Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spiritโ (Psalm 34:18). We pray that Godโs peace and strength will be your refuge and comfort.
Archevรชque Ejiba Yamapiaโ
Would you continue your prayers for Charlie Kirkโs family?
Would you also pray for our dear friends in DRC?
@POTUS@FaithAdvisory@ejibayamapia
Political crimes and assasinations have been carried out lately by a variety of left-wing liberal scum who support Banderite Kiev. Fico, Kirk. Who's next? Maybe it's time for the MAGA team to realize that by supporting Ukraine, they're supporting murderers.
@US_SrAdvisorAF The US should act and immediately proceed with the steps below if it wants to truly restore peace in DRC:
1) Enforce its own law โ Public Law 109-456, Section 105, which states: โThe Secretary of State shall withhold assistance made available under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961โฆ to any foreign country the government of which is involved in the commission of war crimes, crimes against humanity, or other serious violations of international humanitarian law in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.โ
2) Implement UNSC Resolution 2773 voted unanimously (15-0), which requires Rwanda to withdraw its troops from the DRC without preconditions.
3) Apply recommendations from the UN Group of Experts, Human Rights Watch, and others calling for an arms embargo on Rwanda. Peace requires accountability. Peace through strength. And the US has all the tool it needs.
Rwanda and the M23/AFC/ADF terrorists will not listen to anything else. The terrorists coalition will not listen to anything unless a stronger stance is applied.
The United States is encouraged by continued negotiations between the DRC and M23, facilitated by the State of Qatar. Building on Julyโs signing of the Declaration of Principles between the DRC and M23, this weekโs talks are a critical step toward reaching a peace agreement that will enable communities in the region to live in peace after decades of conflict. We reaffirm our call for an immediate end to violence against civilians and underscore the need for concrete actions to uphold commitments to peace and stability.
@Nkurunzizabos1@AfricaMediaHub Why would an American attorney or politician waste their time doing homework for you? There are UN mapping reports, HRW reports and many other white papers that you can read. If you dismiss those reports then thereโs nothing even God can do to convince you that you arenโt stupid.
