How much Gujaratis LOVE Stock Market?

- There are 1 Crore 15 Lakh+ Demat Accounts in Gujarat, almost 15% of the overall base.

- Last year 22.4 Lakh Demats were opened in 2022 only.

- 11% of NSE turnover comes from Ahmedabad (Mumbai being the largest) i.e. every ₹100 that gets traded, ₹11 are from Gujarat. For BSE, the contribution is ₹22 per ₹100.

- Daily Dabba Trading (not legal) turnover from Gujarat (Ahemdabad, rajkot, surat, morbi+) is ₹25,000 Crore. This is close to half of NSE daily turnover.

- Everybody knows BSE as the oldest exchange in India, there is another one - Ahmedabad Stock Exchange (ASEL), found in 1894 - 2nd oldest exchange.
