The National Woman Leader of the City Boy Movement, Hajia Ummusalma Isyaka Rabiu, paid a visit to the Executive Members of the City Boy Movement Diaspora, United Kingdom, where she was warmly received by the Director, Prince Bidemi Akintunde (Stainless), and the UK Woman Leader, Hon. Susan Jegunmah to a dinner. She was accompanied by Hajia Hairiya Duhu, Director of Special Duties, Office of the National Woman Leader, CBM.

🌍 Strengthening Diaspora Engagement

Ummusalma expressed deep appreciation for the dedication and commitment shown by the UK Executives and members. She commended their continuous efforts in advancing the movement’s objectives across the United Kingdom and beyond.

During a focused strategy session with the women executives, the National Woman Leader discussed new approaches to strengthen mobilisation of women across the UK, the wider diaspora, and Nigeria in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In her response, Hon. Susan Jegunmah highlighted the progress achieved so far in the UK and shared updates on the upcoming women-focused programme scheduled for October 2026.

The meeting featured an open interactive session where members were given the opportunity to brief the leadership, share insights, and ask questions aimed at improving organisational effectiveness.

To honour her visit and leadership, Prince Bidemi Akintunde (Stainless) presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the National Woman Leader on behalf of the UK Executives and members.

City Boy Movement UK Commends Tinubu, Senate Leadership and NDDC as Scholars Record Outstanding Academic Success in the UK

The Director of the City Boy Movement UK, accompanied by members of the executive council, joined the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Distinguished Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, the Chairman of the Governing Board of the NDDC, Chief Chiedu Ebie, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, and members of the NDDC Management Team at the graduation ceremony of beneficiaries of the NDDC Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship Programme held at Coventry Cathedral, United Kingdom. The ceremony celebrated the remarkable achievements of the Commission's scholars, with 30 beneficiaries graduating with Distinction, 60 graduating with Merit, and several others receiving awards for outstanding academic excellence across leading universities in the United Kingdom.

Delivering a goodwill message, the UK Director of the City Boy Movement commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for prioritising human capital development through the Renewed Hope Agenda. He also applauded the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, the leadership of the National Assembly, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on NDDC, Distinguished Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, the Governing Board of the NDDC under Chief Chiedu Ebie, and the Management led by Dr. Samuel Ogbuku for their commitment to strengthening education and expanding opportunities for young Nigerians through the NDDC Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship Programme.

He congratulated the graduating scholars on their exceptional academic accomplishments and encouraged them to return home as agents of transformation by applying the knowledge, skills, and global exposure acquired abroad to the development of the Niger Delta and Nigeria. He reaffirmed the commitment of the City Boy Movement UK to supporting initiatives that promote education, youth empowerment, and national development, while fostering stronger collaboration between Nigerians in the diaspora and institutions at home.

The Retreat served as a strategic gathering designed to foster unity, strengthen organisational structures, and chart a clear roadmap for the Movement’s future engagements. Delegates deliberated on key issues, shared insights on grassroots mobilisation, and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the ideals of the City Boy Movement.

The vision of the City Boy Movement is to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in 2027, also to build a dynamic, people-centered platform that promotes civic responsibility, national development, and inclusive participation in governance.
