What a poor arrangement by the NBBF with coach Reno Wakama!
I don’t understand how a coach could completely miss 95% of her team’s World Cup preparation.
Going by the preparation, I knew D'Tigress won't go beyond the first round.
Honestly, I don’t even know the current Minister of Information.
Even as a kid in the 1990s, I could always name the Information Ministers up until when Buhari left:
From Jerry Gana, Walter Ofonagoro to Sarumi, Nweke Jnr, John Odey, Akunyili, Labaran Maku, Lai Mohammed etc.
I’m a big fan of hers, but I’ll definitely criticise both @nbbfNG and @Coach_Rena if D’Tigress fail at this FIBA World Cup.
I don’t understand how a coach could completely miss 95% of her team’s World Cup preparation. They should have arranged for a permission with her club.
That’s inaccurate. If you watched the Premier League in the late 90s and early 2000s, you’d know many Nigerian aside Yakubu strikers thrived in the EPL - Elvan Ekoko, Kanu, Odemwingie, Ameobi, and Obafemi Martins all scored regularly.
@ojbsports I’d rather see a non-Nigerian become CAF president than Amaju Pinnick.
I was his biggest fan before he ruined Nigerian footbal. Our age-grade teams and Falcons began regressing under his watch, with incompetent coaches and weak NFF technical dept.
Gusau inherited his ineptitude.
Nigeria's huge film industry, Nollywood, is in mourning after the death at 66 of veteran actor and star of Yoruba-language cinema Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

@zyxw_dcb If only you reasoned deeply or read carefully, you should have known none of his ex classmates or lecturers can still memorise his matric number since 2007.
Even if anyone does, are they around him to look for his ATM card or phone?
Always think deeply before responding publicly.
Being a good person does not guarantee a good life.
Morality does not provide immunity from disease, poverty, betrayal, accidents, injustice, or tragedy. Good people can suffer terribly, while terrible people can prosper.
We once thought Decree 101 was the bane of Nigeria’s football, but Charles Ojugbana argued in 2003 that it wasn’t.
Since its repeal, NFF has become a law unto itself - shutting outsiders from becoming president and exco, and operating like a cabal dating back to Sani Lulu’s era.
Yeah, it's because the Bournvilta and later Pepsi Pro-League was stronger in early to mid 1990s.
Apart from that of Amokachi, other good transfers include:
• Okunowo (3SC to Barcelona)
• Finidi (Sharks to Ajax)
• Kanu (Inwanyanwu to Ajax)
• Taribo (Berger to Auxerre) etc.
I was an Ajax fan until I discovered Premier League in 97/98, when Arsenal won the double and won my heart.
I admired the great Man United team of the late 90s, Abramovich's Chelsea, Guardiola's Man City etc, but Arsenal's Invincibles remain the greatest team I've seen in 30 yrs.
Not really scouting, but the League's quality back then.
A major reason the Super Eagles haven't succeeded since the golden generation ended is that most players don't feature in the NPFL before moving abroad unlike before.
They aren't strengthend before heading to Europe.
Archbishop Augustine Akubeze was a hero. Only Cardinals Okogie, Onaiyekan, and maybe Arinze can command such immense respect, love and popularity in death.
Kudos to the Benin Archdiocese for the superb funeral. I’ve always regarded them as the most organised diocese in Nigeria.
I’m honestly surprised Messi is not only still playing but excelling at the highest level. He broke into limelight at the 2005 U-20 World Cup in Netherlands.
His peers at that tournament - Mikel, Taye Taiwo, Ogbuke, Zabaleta, Aguero, Gago etc - have long left football behind.
