I’m not aware if Streeting’s met with any parent of a trans child who’s died by suicide. So, today I’m going to write to ask if he’ll meet with me. Even though both a yes and a no answer will likely make me ill. NHS neglect harmed Alice. A coroner ruled Alice’s death preventable.
I do sort of feel like the government is looking at how they can incentivise people to work without fixing the fact that there isn’t a huge incentive to work atm. There are people working so hard, as they’re told they should be, some even several jobs, just to barely keep afloat.
Ticket companies know what they are doing. The "buzz" of getting into the buy phase after 4 hrs is the same dopamine hit gamblers experience.
At that stage, £150 to £400 price rise no longer is a choice, it's an impulse buy.
An unethical/should be illegal business practice.
fast food, fast fashion, songs being sped up, tv show seasons being only 8 episodes long, replacing youtube vlogs with fifteen second "day in the life" tiktoks, people in their twenties complaining about being too old...everything is so rushed, we have lost the art of lingering.
Just 24 hours now left to register to vote ahead of the general election on Thursday 4th July.

Care workers are a vital part of our communities and are often underpaid on insecure contracts. I've signed this petition calling for a living wage for care workers. Will you add your name and share too?

honestly the #1 reason to stay alive is just to see what happens next. when you realize that, it makes sense to take risks and try new things and meet new people and make bold decisions because those actions often result in being pleasantly surprised by how your life turns out.
@IanDunt Mood on the doorstep as well. Voters saying they are supporting Labour but believe their neighbours will vote Conservative again because they can't process the swing.
The weird political mood at the moment is partly psychological. The data is the data: it all points in one direction, to some extent or other. But conservatives are so used to winning, and progressives so used to losing, that none of us can quite believe it.

Re-elect @JeffSmithetc and help elect a Labour government to end the Tory chaos and rebuild a better Britain.🌹
if zverev wins roland garros in the same week he's meant to be in court appealing a charge for domestic abuse it will be extremely embarrassing for the atp & a stain on the history of the sport
So just to recap:
Sunak launches the General Election campaign in the pouring rain to the New Labour soundtrack of Things Can Only Get Better.
He then turns up for a question-and-answer session at a factory where two of the questioners were Tory councillors.
Next he asks people in Wales whether they were looking forward to the Euros, even though the country hasn’t qualified for the tournament.
Not to be deterred, he rocks up in Belfast at the Titanic Quarter and gets asked whether he was captaining a sinking ship.
Meanwhile Michael Gove becomes the 77th Tory MP to step down after the election.
Shambles doesn’t come close.
